"We had Certified Restoration Consultants repair water damage to the front of our home in Cary caused by intrusion behind siding and into the wall of our dining room. They did both exterior and interior restoration. They also installed new vapor barrier and dehumidifier under our house. Guy and his crew (Nick, Nathan, Leo, Mateo) were very knowledgeable and professional with respect to containment of mold during restoration and ensuring that the water intrusion would not reoccur. All were extremely courteous, on time, and worked diligently until the project was completed. They were attentive to any concerns we had during the restoration. CRC had previously repaired extensive termite damage to my daughter’s home in Cary and also did a great job. I highly recommend CRC for careful, professional and meticulous restoration work."

"These guys did good job with my crawl space. They had to remove a lot of very moldy insulation in space that was crawl only height. They showed up when they said, confirmed and best of all the price was reasonable. Prices were all over for this job and while theirs was most affordable, the work was well done. Professional and trustworthy. They were also competent, efficient and came with the needed respirator, and Tyvek suit to handle this toxic job. Thanks JImmie!"

"TC removed mold from my crawlspace, replaced the insulation, and installed a french drain and plastic. Mr. Cortez assessed the situation and presented me with my options and did not try to sell anything I did not need. He and his crew did an exceptional job. I highly recommend TC for your crawlspace needs."

"Daniel and Jacob (I believe the name is correct) provided excellent professional and very knowlegable service. Afterthe testing was completed, Daniel said I could call him anytime. This project began March 2021 and I have taken advantage of calling Daniel many times as this has been an on-going issue with my apartment who is constantly asking me when I planned on moving!!! Black toxic mold entered my apartment from the unit above me had break in their kitchen sink pipe which fell through onto my kitchen cabinet. I have hired an attorney to assist me because management refused to have my unit re-tested to insure the mold level in my unit is gone. I would highly recomment Pure Air to anyone....I was impressed and very pleased wiith the service they provided."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Durham, NC

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
