"Dan and the team at EA Masonry did a great job in constructing a 4 ft x 40 ft retaining wall at the back of my property in West Roxbury. They constructed out of allen block and installed a drainage system behind the wall. They also replaced my front walkway. All work was completed in 3-4 days. They were very reasonably priced compared to other quotes I received and, most importantly, communicated very well throughout the process (texted or emailed promptly when they would start the project and when they could not make it one day due to extreme cold). They showed up exactly when they said they would when providing the initial quote as well which I have found to not be the case with other contractors. I would highly recommend."

His quote was straightforward and accurate. His work speaks for itself as we are thrilled with the final product. I felt like Carlos respected my house, I think he was the neatest contractor I have ever used. He took out existing stone work and I was really happy about the minimal mess. I appreciate his punctuality and commitment to everything he said he would complete. I do think he charges a labor rate proportional to his results. "We received quotes from 3 companies. Edson was fast at responding and showed up right on time to do the estimate (he originally gave us a quote for 2 rooms at $950, but rectified that and charged us the third room at cost). He gave us a quote within a few days and the work was started and completed with a week of making our decision to go with him. He showed up on time to make sure everything was set and introduce us to the painter (I can't remember his name!).  The work was done in 2 days, which was amazingly fast. The guy who did the painting was very friendly and respectful. He also did an great job cleaning up. After Day 1, he moved all our furniture back into place so we didn't have to deal with it. It was like he was never there! I really appreciated not having to re-arrange our bedroom to sleep at night. The bed and everything else was already put back into place. 
I also trusted Edson's opinion on paint color. I really wanted our nursery to have horizontal or vertical stripes. I asked him what he thought and he gave me an honest opinion, but also said in the end, we can choose what we want - its totally up to us. The house is old (1890) and has walls and floors that are uneven. I was set on using stripes, but he explained that it might look too busy (the room actually has 7 walls). I talked to him at length about this and in the end I chose to paint the room one color. Well, it looks amazing. He was right. 
We are very satisfied with our experience and should we need more painting, will hire again!

"Everything about Paul and his company was excellent. He answered the phone right away when we called and gave us a quote over the phone. He scheduled us for the very next day as he had had a cancellation. He gave us an approximate time for his arrival and then called us 40 minutes away to say when he would be arriving. He seal coated our 63’ driveway making sure not to damage the grass, flowerbeds, and walls at the entrance to the driveway with the seal coat. He was very professional and the driveway looks beautiful."

"Chimney Chap did an excellent job replacing the termination cap on my Vermont Castings gas stove at a reasonable cost. The two technicians who performed the work were very professional and worked hard to overcome some unforeseen installation difficulties. From my initial e-mail to the installation of the cap, Chimney Chap was very responsive. Meanwhile, some other companies I contacted were unresponsive and less interested in performing a small installation project. I will surely contact Chimney Chap, Inc. in the future if I experience any problems with my gas stove."
