That installation ultimately failed within a few years due to what a technician on a recent visit confirmed was an improper initial installation. Fast forward to our recent service call: a technician came out, diagnosed the issue, and quoted us over $700 to replace a simple hose bib with no additional parts required. After questioning the price, they ?discounted? it to $600. Feeling uneasy about the pricing, we asked them to stop the work so we could get a second opinion. Joe and his partner took out the old heater, drove with me to HD picked up the new one, installed it and I had hot water before the first snow flakes hit the ground.
