"Angie quoted a price of $199 price was $675 to replace old toilet with new toilet. I needed to get it done but that is a huge difference from what I was expecting to pay. Service was quick fast and the plumber even walked me through some of the features. Install was tricky and he did it with no issues. Everything so far is working perfect."

"They did a great job. They were able to use a small pump to pump the waste water out before replacing the broken pump. The other company wanted us to pay for a pump truck costing $600 before giving the estimate."

"We have had several Sila visits in recent months - all exceptional. VISIT 1: We had old pipes and valves that limited our dishwasher, so we had that replaced. While there, the Sila agent suggested we replace some of the attached lines and managed to streamline our hookups by removing some of the unneeded valves and connections no longer needed. VISIT 2: We similarly had a great visit and instal from David, who did a very beautiful install on our new water heater. He removed the broken unit, improved the connection design, put in improved valves and labelled each with a tag, then tagged other connections through the basement."

"Finally a great company you can rely on to get the job done! I have used them for my multi-family home for years and have always been so happy to have this wonderful team of people to help me out. From Joanie in the office to all the great plumbers, Brandon, TJ, Kyle, Jorge to name a few they are all so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They are easy to work with, they call you 1/2 hour prior to arrival, cover their boots when they are in your home and have a low monthly charge for their service plan, which is worth every penny. Brandon has been out the most and he is a wealth of knowledge. He had so many issues to figure out this go around and he found all the issues in a methodical way. He's straight up trustworthy too. One leak was from the tenants toilet and needed a new flange and was pulled and set, and an old cast iron pipe cut and replaced with new pvc drain line. Another leak was from an old laundry valve which left a lot of water in the basement who knew?! An old shower valve was causing the rattle and was replaced. Lastly the for the other toilet problem, he suggested I buy a toilet and he would install it saving me hundreds of dollars! He even gave me the brands that he liked for toilets. Brandon even checked my furnace, gave me some suggestions and gave me a quote on the water heaters that are close to replacement. It was like having a family member checking to make sure everything was okay in the house! Thank you to Boston Standard for all the hard work!"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in East Bridgewater, MA

Sewer line replacement costs range from $50 to $250 per linear foot. Your replacement costs rise or fall based on material quality, installation complexity, and the specialized equipment crews need for excavation. Deeper lines cost more to access, and choosing budget-friendly PVC piping rather than premium copper also shifts the final price.

A sewer sleeve repairs cracked or damaged sections of a sewer pipe without the need for excavation. In this process, technicians insert a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner, saturated with epoxy, to seal defects and restore the pipe’s integrity. This approach protects your yard, trims repair time, and adds years to your sewer system’s life—all while delivering reliable results.

Newer homes use durable PVC and ABS piping that offer smooth interiors and effective clog prevention at an affordable cost. Older homes use materials such as copper, Orangeburg, clay, cast iron, or lead, which require a licensed plumber’s inspection to confirm safety and performance. This clear distinction impacts maintenance and overall system reliability.

Red flags include persistent clogs, recurring sewage backups, and unexplained spikes in utility bills. Strong sulfur odors, bubbling drains, and visible sewage in the yard serve as unmistakable warning signs. These symptoms demand immediate professional inspection and repair to prevent further property damage and health hazards, ensuring the system operates safely.

All sewer line projects require permits because strict sanitary and biohazard regulations mandate regulatory approval. Homeowners must secure permits, incurring a specific permit fee of $200 in addition to contractor costs. A licensed professional or local building department manages the permitting process, ensuring the work complies with all legal requirements before the project begins.

A clogged sewer line is not covered by standard homeowner’s insurance policies because these policies exclude damage from regular wear, tear, and neglect. In cases of accidental damage—such as when tree roots block the line—certain policies provide coverage. Homeowners must review their policy details or consult with their insurance provider to confirm the coverage terms.
