"I hired Zen Space Makers to renovate a bedroom to accommodate 3 kids. If there is one word to describe Zen Space and Sander Hicks, it is speed. The whole process from initial design to finished product took roughly two weeks. The quality of work was also impressive and they were quick to make fixes where they were called out. They didn’t leave the job until it was completely finished to my satisfaction. Of course the kids loved their new room and I’m looking forward to see them grow into it."

"Great. They came and removed vanities, toilets, old tile, and flooring. They repaired and painted the walls. Installed a pocket door, new vanities, new toilets, new tub, and tile. We had to wait about two months before they could start the job and it was well worth the wait. They are very professional and talented. The job was done on time and on budget."

"These guys did a "better-than-expected" job of replacing my rotted joists and adding brand new 5/4 inch premium decking around my oval pool. See photos for proof. The results are spectacular! They applied the latest technology of joist taping for waterproofing, - and used a 45-degree deck angle jig tool for screwing the decking boards into the joists, - which is claimed to minimize splintering. I've never seen this before. Traditional decks screw the decking boards directly into the joists at 90 degrees as in my old deck, thus eventually ending up in splintering and rotted joists and swimmers getting splinters in their feet. These guys applied newer construction techniques to avoid all these problems. In addition, if you look at my rails and framing, they look perfectly square which is a testament to their superior craftsmanship and meticulous attention to details and planning. They also exhibited flexibility, as per my new mid-job-stream request of remodeling my old heavy single decking gate into a new double-open swing type gate for ease of use. I highly recommend David and Keith for their excellent skills in designing and building or remodeling your outdoor decking project, - as they made my backyard deck look like a resort! – On a scale of 1 -10, I give them a 10++."

"Great experience with owner Jack DeRosa from Essex Home Improvements. I had contacted Jack inquiring about installing a long transom and a picture window in an exterior wall. Jack got back to me right away and brought along a colleague (Jonah from J.Escoria Carpentry & Painting) to provide carpentry expertise. Jack was patient with my many questions and concerns and kept telling me, “don’t worry; we will handle everything” – which they did! The project was reasonably priced, completed in the promised time frame, and with quality work by competent and pleasant people. I am VERY happy with the finished product. "Bought a house that required a bunch of minor repairs. Finding a contractor that was willing to do the work was a chore. Dave and his company were willing to do the work. They were awesome. From the many many forms for the mortgage company to inspections they are top notch. The crew was great and punctual. I can not say enough about the back office support. This project was a nightmare from the beginning but Dave and Bonnie got us through it. None of the problems came from them. This was a 203k mortgage and is very paperwork intensive. They got everything i needed done in a timely manor. I dont think i would have made it without them. Hopefully my next project will be less stressfull, i am sure Dave and crew will make it happen."
