In spite of this we chose US ProPaint and Renovation because JR explained all the work that would be done to demolish our wooden deck and replace it with trex decking. The other builders who gave us estimates did not spend as much time, or explain what they would do to complete the work we wanted.; and their estimates were lower in cost, but not a whole lot less. Once we committed to have US ProPaint and Renovation work for us, the work began very quickly. JR told us the work would commence in 2 weeks. They actually started earlier than that. 3 men worked long hours, typically 8:30 am to 7 pm each day in some pretty warm and humid weather. They were courteous and kept me informed on what they were going to accomplish on any given day. We were completely satisfied with the work and how the deck ended up. This was a 3 month general upgrade to a ranch style house built in 1960. Main house is 3 bedroom 1 bathroom 38'x24' with a 1 room addition 20'x14' added on about 1970. I had the roof replaced and electrical system upgraded from 100 amp to 200 amp about 5 years ago so they did not need anything done at this time. Just a little history.

As for this project a lot of things were done for upgrading.

   Removed all old wooden siding and replaced with vinyl cedar impression siding. It costs about 25% more than regular vinyl siding but is well worth it if you can fit it into your budget.

    Replaced 17 old wooden windows with Harvey vinyl double hung windows.

    Replaced 2 old wooden exterior doors with therma true fiberglass doors and 2 new Harvey aluminum storm doors.

    Replaced basement exterior door with new insulated steel door.

    Replaced metal slider door off kitchen with new Harvey vinyl slider door.

    Replaced a total of 10  inside doors  to bedrooms and closets.

    Replaced countertop, sink, and faucet in kitchen.

    Did a total demolition of bathroom, new walls, new ceiling and new tile floor. Installed new water saving toilet, replaced

 old bathtub with new 3 piece walk in fiberglass shower. Installed new vanity cabinet with sink and new medicine cabinet.

Installed new vanity light, new ceiling light with vent to outside.

     Demolished old 12x10 rotted out wooden deck off  kitchen and built new 12x10 3 season room (veranda pvc) with interchangeable screens for summer and glass panels for winter.

    Replaced old wrought iron railings (showing their age) from 2 front cement stoops with new veranda plastic white railings.

 Owners Joe and Jim are very responsive to customers needs and questions. All workers are very conscientious and thorough in everything they do, they pay attention to detail which is somewhat unusual these days. I have another project in mind for a couple years from now and will not hesitate to go straight to these guys for it

"Oh, boy--Erick (and Tom, his guy) have done work for me on my 100-yr. old home, for over a decade! First job -- Erick alone--built a gorgeous deck...neighbors couldn't stay away. ...still getting compliments. Last two big jobs-- redid garage and installed electric doors, and custom tiled a bath everyone else wanted to "demo". . In-between took care of several other problems as they came up. "We were really pleased with DiOrio's work. We needed a storage platform built in our attic to make room for new insulation. We were concerned a carpenter wouldn't take such a small job so also decided to ask to replace some damaged siding we had here and there around the house. I called DiOrio, and they agreed to come out that week. I had assumed I'd have to make a lot of calls to get someone to come out in the timeframe we needed, so was really happy there. DiOrio was upfront that taking off siding could reveal some underlying damage to the house, which happened to be the case for us. The job went from a $3K estimate to an actual cost of $12K given the extent of the damage. While the cost increase was overwhelming, DiOrio seemed to really know what they were doing. Everything appeared to be done in a high-quality and detailed way, and they communicated with us throughout the process. They were also able to finish the work in a timely way and not keep us hanging on for weeks or months. We're planning to have them back in the spring to check for damage under some additional areas of siding."

"Wayne was very professional from start to end and communication was excellent throughout the process. I had recently moved in and the stairs to our backyard was in terrible condition. From doing just a regular basic small deck, we quickly started to exchange ideas to do something bigger. I wanted a deck that would be weatherproof underneath so I could use the area under to either store stuffs or even dine in case of rain. Once the deck was done, I quickly realized that my head was close to the ceiling when I was standing under. He suggested that we dig a few feet lower to give me head space. We were able to add recessed lights and it looks so nice! Finally, he suggested that a pergola would be nicer then an awning. Indeed, we can use the pergola even during rain and windy days and at night by close the shades to prevent mosquitoes. He helped me with the installation of the pergola also which wasn't easy. The final result is stunning and we get so many praises from our friends!"
