Michael came out a day after reaching out to contractors and had a quote for me by the end of the week - much faster (and better value!) than the other quotes I found. Our expectations were set knowing it might be a month or so before we got materials and a completed deck, but after a week and a half they were already building! If it wasn't for some missing parts, they would have finished in less than a week! "Communication with the owners was easy and timely, but very disappointed in the attention to detail and overall oversight of the job on Redman's part with their sub-contractors. We constantly had to directly let the outside workers know of our plans even though we had already discussed items with Redman. We had to ask them to clean up after themselves (one contractor said he never owned a tarp before) and have the electrician come back numerous times to fix things. Overall timeline was met and we are happy with overall design and functionality, but had to aggressively press at the end before our move in date. Items that we were disappointed in - nails showing through new cabinetry (purchased separately), holes still showing in the plastered ceiling and recessed lighting holes cut too big, so that the lights are loose. Tile Contractor was the best by far."

He's very likeable and has an interesting background. workwise: he's so thorough and unobtrusive you don't even realize that he's repaired the cracks in the wall he's painting or secured all the cabinet doors in the kitchen while fixing the ones that needed fixing. pricewise: for the multiple projects that needed addressing, from replacing doorknobs to painting closets, I found his final tab to be reasonable."

"Wayne was very professional from start to end and communication was excellent throughout the process. I had recently moved in and the stairs to our backyard was in terrible condition. From doing just a regular basic small deck, we quickly started to exchange ideas to do something bigger. I wanted a deck that would be weatherproof underneath so I could use the area under to either store stuffs or even dine in case of rain. Once the deck was done, I quickly realized that my head was close to the ceiling when I was standing under. He suggested that we dig a few feet lower to give me head space. We were able to add recessed lights and it looks so nice! Finally, he suggested that a pergola would be nicer then an awning. Indeed, we can use the pergola even during rain and windy days and at night by close the shades to prevent mosquitoes. He helped me with the installation of the pergola also which wasn't easy. The final result is stunning and we get so many praises from our friends!"
