"I hired Chad with Simple Trim to install shiplap on our coffered ceiling (very tedious work I might add), and it turned out so nice. I absolutely love it. Chad is very detailed and will make sure he knows exactly how you want things to be installed. He is quick to respond to text and always lets you know of any delays. He respected our home and was very careful when moving items in and out of the house. I highly recommend Chad and hope to have him back to do some more trim work."

"Within days of purchasing the deal, I received the instructions and paper to draw my table templates. The table has 2 drop leaves plus 2 additional leaves that can be inserted in the table. The templates were pretty easy to draw. The finished pads were delivered in a very short time. They fit the table and each of the 4 leaves perfectly and magnetically lock together to keep them aligned when on the table. A year and a half later, I still love these pads."

"Travis came at precisely scheduled time, assessed the situation and came up with a solution. We have decided to go with engineered floors. Travis personally matched the colors, ordered the flooring which was installed in timely and prompt manner by one of his employees. The carpet was removed and discarded by the company. The installation work was done in a matter of a few hours. I was kept informed on the progress via text messages during the whole process. This was great and satisfying experience. I will without a doubt keep Travis on my contact list for future projects."

"

The guy was great. He was very professional. He tried to work within the price range I gave him. I never used him. The company specialized in customized furnishings which is great but not for my project. I live in an older neighborhood. All I wanted was to clean up the bathroom, not really do an overhaul w/custom vanities, cabinetry etc. It wasn't the company's fault at all. Just basic (Lowe's) type of furnishings.. I felt bad because I feel like I wasted his time..I told him that. He was very kind. But if I ever decide to custom made remodel- I  WOULD DEFINITELY CALL CABINET CLAD 1ST.. W/O A DOUBT

"Job walk went fine. Service provider was more interested in providing overall package than just the "parts and pieces" approach that I was looking for. Representative was very professional, thorough and courteous.

"In October 2018 we hired Ryan Hild and KC Exterior Pros to install new siding, trim, gutters and fascia on our 3-story 34 year-old home. Their price was not the lowest price proposal we received but it was far better than the other Hardie Board competition due to the high level of expertise KC Pros brought to the job. The crew came on time, worked 10 hours a day, left the work site pretty clean each night and came every day but Sundays until the job was completed. The results and the foreman’s response to our questions/requests were excellent. We were not asked to pay a penny until the job was complete and we were completely satisfied. There are so many dodgy contractors out there it is great to find someone who is honest, fast and delivers exactly what they say they will deliver. If anyone asks us to recommend a siding installation company, KC Pros will be the first name we will utter!!"

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings installation projects in Edgerton, MO

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
