"Samuel is extremely competent, timely, responsive, and transparent. Unfortunately, we had a roof installed a few years ago by a company who cut corners, and STMZ came to repair two separate leaks in the “new” roof. He documented every step of the process with photos, and explained what he was doing. (Most contractors, in my experience, do not take the time to explain the process to you!) I highly recommend his services, and if we ever need to replace the roof, STMZ will be the company we will call."

"Very good. Performed repairs and remodeling in a timely manner. When we had questions, they were answered thoroughly. Recommended many different suppliers, not just one."

"The problem was not the quality of the work on the fence as much as the lack of experience of the workman. Sufficient information was not gathered about what might potentially cause a problem or be of concern. For example, no thought was given to the sprinkler system layout and as a result the line was broken in two places in the digging of post holes. These two broken lines were not repaired so the use of the connecting lines was impossible. He promised to come back to fix the problem but did not.  The other problem was the construction of the gates. They tend to flare at the bottom...not sure of the cause. <br /> I accept that I could have been more informed on what to elaborate on with a young craftsman. Therefore, I would likely use them again but be more specific in the initial phase. <br />"

"Mr. Mooney came out and gave the estimate and they he came back with his helper, Jerry, and did the work.  There was no marketing agent.  The work was done for the price estimated, so we knew from the start how much it would cost. <br /> Initially, Steve and his assistant, Jerry, spent half a day cleaning our home exterior.  This included treatment with a solution to remove mildew, washing, scrubbing and power washing.  They did a thorough job cleaning 15 years of dirt and mildew off our home and it looked much better.  <br /> After our home had a few days to dry out, Steve replaced select pieces of trim and soffit material as needed.  He found damaged areas that we didn't even know about!  All joints and seams were caulked.  He and Jerry then painted on two coats of paint.  Steve also built new wood shutters for our front windows (a big improvement on our louvered plastic shutters) and installed recessed can lights on our front porch (we provided the lights).  We were very pleased with the quality of their work.  <br /> Top notch quality and very reasonably priced.  We strongly recommend them and we would use them again. <br />"

"Mr. Douglas did an excellent job (as always). I have a new metal roof and it was done in a very professional and timely manner. Mr. Douglas is very particular that any job he is doing or overseeing is done to his standards (and he is a perfectionist). You will get quick response, good work and will be well informed at every step of the job. I have relied on Mr. Douglas for windows, siding and roof and have been very pleased on every project."

"<p>Gary Netherland and his crew were wonderful. They arrived on the date agreed upon and worked daily until the job was completed, which involved several last minute additions as we found additional sheetrock repairs that were needed. The guys working for him were super nice, very professional. They were punctual every day, they worked a full day and when they left at the end of the day, they restored our home for use at night! As is common in a remodel, issues will arise, Gary had great ideas and suggestions to resolve and make problems non-existent! One of my favorite features was a solution to installing my kitchen lanterns over the island. I absolutely love the way they look and had not ever considered the addition of a beam to support the weight of the lights! The sheetrock repairs and painting are amazing, looks like a new house.  They added deep fully extending pull out drawers in the kitchen for fabulous storage. Plus a large built in storage cabinet in the wall for my vanity. Installed new counter tops in both master bath and kitchen, new light fixtures and faucets. Installed a wine cooler, which involved adapting the counter to allow the cooler to fit under the counter! Also hung monster mirrors in the bath. They completed the work in eight and a half days!  Another plus was the efforts they took to keep my house clean, sheetrock repairs are terribly dusty, they were careful to cover furniture with plastic and to remove as much as possible. Wet sanded my family room ceiling to avoid dust in that room all together! I will definitely call on Gary and his people in the future!</p> <br />"

"Our home is 41 years old and we have wanted to cover our patio for years. We never could figure out how to do it because of the way the original roof line is configured. We contacted a contractor on Angie's list but he couldn't get to us for several months. We asked if he would recommend someone and he gave us Tony Mills' name and number. We consulted with Tony and he came out and took a look at our situation and we discussed different options. He then brought his framer by and together they designed a roof to cover the patio that upon completion looks like it is original to the house. There were several issues which had to be dealt with; not the least of which was a chimney which diverted water to the wrong place for our new cover. But that was taken care of by some more design work. They really did a great job. Next came the actual building of the cover. The workmen were nothing short of artists with a saw and nail gun and paintbrush and roller. No kidding! We love our new patio cover and could not be happier with Mills Family Properties. The next time we have a job that needs doing, we will definitely call Tony."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Edwards, MS

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
