"I admit I hated having to wait a couple of weeks for the appointment. Smelly hot water is not fun to live with, but they did say they would come out sooner if someone cancelled, but.. no one did. They came out at the scheduled evening, and fixed it! I did speak to the plumber that installed the water heater, and he quoted me $200 for the project, which, according to YouTube, would take less than 10 minutes, and only needed a 1 1/16 heavy duty socket and a bucket.. and some strength. After the discount from the coupon from Angie's list, and the fact that we bought the new Anode Rod already.. we still had to pay $110 out of pocket.. guess it's better than $200 total.
