The change in plans probably added two days to the planned schedule, but there were no complaints, no griping about additional cost and no changes to the final price. There was a significant difference between the verbal estimate and the first written estimate, but after some negotiations, the issue was settled. Also when the contractor started the job, he discovered that he couldn't do the job as agreed. It was originally agreed to use paved stone pavers instead of replacing my flagstone. But the existing foundation did not allow this. In the end, the contractor did what I originally wanted; and that was to reset my old flagstone. He adjusted the price accordingly.
