"This was a really good company and I think they did great work HOWEVER if you are suffering from a respiratory condition called CIRS you will need to hire a specialist. I did not know this at the time. There are very, very few mold remediation companies that are qualified for this specific mold removal process."

"Wilbur called me the same day I requested a quote for his expertise. Within a few hours he was at my apartment verifying that there is in fact black mold growing in my carpeting and wrote me up a report to submit to my landlord as I am pregnant and need this matter addressed. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about resolving the predicament I am in. I would recommend his service to anyone and will most definitely be utilizing him for mold remediation in my next home."

"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"Tyler was great - he knows his stuff, he's always looking to share his knowledge to make sure homeowners can live in a mold-free house. I had two estimates done for the work (a lot of mold was seen in the ceiling of a bedroom, it was also in one of the walls), and Chesapeake Environmental came in quite a bit lower than the other one. There ended up being more mold than originally thought (it was hard to spot evidence for, both estimates and myself missed it), so there a addition to the scope of the project, but it was still done by the original deadline. The workers were great about closing off an area to prevent spread of mold while they worked, and were punctual and hard-working - can't ask for anything more."

"The Mold removers were quick to respond to our request for help. They came and assessed the damage and were clear and concise about pricing giving best case and worse case scenarios. They were able to effectively contain and remove all the mold and treat the room appropriately to prevent mold spore contamination from spreading to other areas! Thank you for getting rid of all the mold!"

"From estimation of cost to a plan for completion, Environquest exceeded my expectations. All of my questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner with courtesy and explanations that I could understand. The worksite was left neat and clean by the installers of the system of mitigation. I was especially pleased by the individualization of placement based on my basement configuration. All vents, motors were placed in an efficient, thoughtful, and unobtrusive manner. They considered the color of my house and matched the down spout with my spouting"

"I recently purchased a house and discovered significant mold problems in the basement. Both the wall paneling and the insulation behind it were contaminated. I ended up with four estimates. The BWS estimate was the most thorough, in terms of explaining what would be done, and their price was reasonable. Subsequent to starting the work, it was discovered that the removal of certain building materials would prove more difficult than originally anticipated. David, the owner, did not flinch and try to increase the price. He merely figured out what needed to be done and got his workers to do it. The crew doing the work was, in general, personable and professional. The simplest way to put my experience with BWS is that they are the kind of company one is glad to do business with."

"The report was very professional and detailed. The response was fast. The price was expensive but due to the detail, understandable. I wouldn't hire again due to multiple requests for a completed report and estimate for the mold remediation and just getting robotic replies that didn't answer my questions."

"Great experience from start to finish.  I set up an appointment in early September to get an estimate, Tuan showed up at the scheduled time and explained clearly the most likely issue causing high radon levels and what they would do to fix it.  We set up another appointment for them to come back for the repairs.  The employee showed up as scheduled and got right to work.  He cut out a section of the mitigation pipe, dug out the blockage that was between the pipe and the water proofing trench, and replaced the pipe.  He then sealed the sump pit cover as well as several feet of wall where the water proofing system was not correctly finished.  Our radon level prior to repair was 5.9pCi/L.  The EPA guideline is for the level to be no more than 4.0pCi/L.  After repairs, our level was 0.8pCi/L, well below the EPA guideline.  We are extremely pleased with the service American Radon Solutions provided and highly recommend them. <br />"

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Enola, PA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
