Job was done in a timely manner - especially given the extent of the water damage. Chester and his team were the only contractors who agreed to take on the repairs, after we had several contractors/companies say the job was too big for them. 10/10 would hire again (though hopefully we won't need to!)"

Once we agreed to move forward, he worked diligently with the architect and village to get the permits finalized (which is a difficult task in my town). Once the work started, he provided almost daily updates of the work that will be completed and any anticipated inspections (which we passed easily). They covered my stairs to prevent dirt and damage. Each day they were at my home, they took away all garbage which saved me from having it sit around to garbage pickup. I'm so happy with his work, I've contacted him to do a total demolition of my master bathroom. His rates are fair and reseasonsble."

"Jack took detailed notes during home quote visit and provided us an initial estimate over the phone. His proposal was comparable to other bids we got. We decided to move forward and he sent us a written estimate via email. The first estimate was slightly over original amount due to known possibility with electrical and additional work we wanted. They started the project and it took about 6 weeks to complete. There were some bumps in the beginning with days/time they were working but we were able to sort that out and all was good. Ralph was the main guy that did most of the work. He did a nice job and made sure to clean up after the end of each day. Basement turned out great and We are very happy with it."

We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! He made a difficult situation as easy to manage as possible, and we would strongly recommend J & K Home Improvement & Restoration to anyone who wants to hire a quality contractor that stands behind their work and well-earned reputation!"

They tore out and replaced everything inside, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and even the old, out of code wall studs that were discovered when the walls were taken out. They replaced all doors and windows as well to give a seamless look inside and out. They also added needed accessibility features. Outside, Imperial 1 replaced siding on the back porch and garage, replaced the garage roof, replaced a sagging sidewalk, and cleaned up the exterior bricks. They worked with our lender's consultant, appraisers, inspectors and the village building department to give us a beautiful new home on time and within budget.
