"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"I have three teenagers who take long showers. Often. Ugh. Without proper ventilation in their bathroom, mold began to grow on the walls and around the top of the tub from condensation over the course of several months. I called Zero Mold, spoke with Jeremy and had him take a look at it and give me an estimate. He was on time, very knowledgeable and professional as he walked through and pointed out how he could eradicate the mold, while offering suggestions on what might be causing the mold. I made an appointment for later in the week. Jeremy arrived on time, pulled out his impressive 12 foot ladder, went to work, scrubbed the walls and fogged the room with his magic ingredients. In less than two hours, the mold was gone. He cleaned my ceiling vent and while scrubbing the mold way up on my fourteen foot walls, he was able to notice that the caulking on the window needed to be addressed and that likely might be part of the reason I'm having issues with mold. His price was very reasonable and I'm very pleased at how my kids bathroom looks now. No more embarrassment. I would, without a doubt, highly recommend Jeremy to others who are dealing with mold issues."

"Chris came out immediately and give us a bid and a timeline. The crew arrived right on time. They were clearly well trained. They performed tasks in a specific and logical sequence. Inside they were extremely careful of furniture and other household objects. Outside they not only did and thorough job of cleaning, but they also replaced any items moved, and cleaned up any debris from the power washing operation. We will definitely contact them again when we need this type of work and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for clean-up work."

"NW Hazmat gave me good instructions on the phone for submitting a sample and the Chain of Conveyance form (required by law).
I sent in the sample on Saturday and by Monday they contacted me by phone with the results. Very professional.

My results were negative but if I'd needed further follow-up I would have hired them to do it.

The only other lab I found was in Portland and their fees were higher."

"Alan did a great job re-caulking and touch-up painting! You'd never know anything had been amiss. There was no charge to me for this, as Alan included this in his customer satisfaction policy. In addition, I was having a problem opening my fence gate and Alan went out of his way to adjust the latch for me, free of charge! I really appreciate his kindness and sincere concern, not to mention his willingness to go the extra mile."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Eugene, OR

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
