"The contractor was courteous, conscientious, and did quality work in a timely manner. The only real problem was with the stucco sub-contractors who, while they did a good job, made a mess. They were not his first choice but both of us had hard deadlines and it's who he could get to do the work. Contractor did his best to clean up the mess. He coordinated with the garage door provider/installer, and made a special trip to install wiring we thought the garage door people wold provide. <br />"

"Excellent service. Professional - the person that gave the quote explained everything very clearly. The Installer (garage door opener and replacement of some parts on the actual door) was excellent and thorough. Tech cleaned up the wiring that was there and added some reinforcements. The previous door had not been installed very well. (Handyman special maybe?) There was an issue with the new opener kicking the breaker so I had to get an electrician our before I could use it. I went from 1/2 horse to 3/4 horse, which the electrician said I didn't I need due to size of door- 1 car small garage. I had no idea what I really "needed". I would recommend company though I think they are a bit pricey (But generally you get what you pay for.) and I maybe should have researched horse power needs before committing."

He explained every aspect of the work in layman’s term, as I am not familiar with drawings and blueprints. He even went as far as to show how one could save on the constructing of the building. "We purchased a 2 bedroom house and decided to turn it into a 4 bedroom house by converting the garage into 2 bedrooms and a mudroom. Bob Bailey was our chosen contractor and did an amazing job, start to finish. Quote up front was accurate and detailed. Once he got approvals from the town, everything moved fast and on schedule. His crew was always on time and respectful of our home. Bob always kept us updated and met us at the home to go over anything they ran into. The final product was amazing. You would never know that those rooms used to be the garage. It looks like it was part of the original build and extremely happy with the outcome. In the future, I look to build a new garage and definitely would have Bob Bailey do the work again. Just fantastic work."

"Last year Steve May did a phenomenal job of installing both a screen porch and a pool enclosure at our house and today I contacted him about referrals for other work I needed around the house.  I went on Angie's List and was surprised to discover the someone had given Steve an "F" rating just for telling them the truth that any repairs have to be done to bring the house up to code.  I live in old house which was built in 1960 and have discovered that electrical, plumbing, and roofing repairs for example , must all be done according to current code. I would rather have an honest professional like Steve May who will tell you the truth about what you need to do, rather than perform some repairs at a very cheap price that you think you got a great deal on until you go to sell the house and find out that the work was a code violation and has to be redone.  Steve May did not create the building codes and did not deserve the "F" rating.  I hope the individual who posted it can find a way to rescind such an unfair grade.  Is is bad enough that there are truly incompetent construction companies who truly deserve an "F" and it is a shame that someone would rather trash an honest professional than realize he is just telling you the truth.  It's like smashing a fire alarm because you don't like the noise, when all it's doing is letting you know that the houses on fire!   <br />"
