"Worked with Greenwood Heating and Air on a furnace replacement and only have excellent things to say about the company and team. Customer service, pricing, timeliness, thoroughness, and friendliness were top notch. Contacted them initially for an inspection of our 28-year old furnace. The technician Frej was prompt, thorough, and courteous, explaining in detail the issues we might face with this still working but old units. Based on the findings we reached out for a quote on a system replacement. Lori took diligent care in listening to our concerns and hopes for a new system, recommending systems that might work for our household. She was always available for follow-up questions, providing answers that really helped us decide on getting a new system (Trane XC80 furnace with air scrubber) via Greenwood H+A. Prices were fair, on par with expectations and quotes from other businesses. On the day of the install, the team at Greenwood H+A, including Jake, Jordan, and Jason were very flexible, coordinating with the roofing company we had hired to take down our chimney and replace with a vent, to get the project moving on time. They were all very communicative, which we appreciated, and gave us regular updates on the progress. They finished what seemed like a big job within the day, despite the install occurring in our cramped crawl space. Our house is now toasty warm again with a great new furnace and all the bells and whistles. "I requested service online the night before and they called me around 9 a.m. the next morning to schedule the job for that same day (between 10-1). They then called about 15 minutes later and asked if they could show up early around 9:30). Great punctuality! The tech, Elliot, did a superb job. He explained everything to me in very thorough detail and checked and rechecked the system after every adjustment he made. My AC unit wasn't plugged into my furnace correctly and was only getting about half the volume of air needed. He fixed that as part of the maintenance cost. I needed a new air filter badly, and so I bought one from him. It was marked up 2-4x the cost of an equivalent one online. He also found a capacitor that was on the boundary of being within suitable voltage. He told me it would probably last another year if I was going to have maintenance again next year, but I had him go ahead and replace it for about $175. Maintenance fee was $199. All together a little shy of $500. It felt a little high, but he spent 3 hours at my house. I appreciate him taking his time on the job and being thorough."

"From the start, communication was excellent. John came and did a thorough review to give us the bid which was detailed well and clear to read and understand. The scheduling was quick (less than 10 days) - the crew was very good in assessing and making plans and if changes had to be made, they got permission and communicated well. The work was efficiently done and they went over everything before they left. Outstanding work! And pricing was comparable or better than other bids we got."

"Not smoothly. We selected Blue Flame because they were cheaper than Greenwood Heating & Air, and they could do the work immediately, while Greenwood had a waitlist several weeks long (should have been a clue). If I had to summarize the experience I would say communication was poor, requiring me to project manage the replacement more than I wanted to. Half the time you tried to call the office, they wouldn't pick up and you were passed onto an answering service who would ask you a list of generic questions like "Where did you hear about Blue Flame" and "Are you interested in purchasing a system?"... I've already purchased a system that I'm trying to finish having installed!!! The actual instillation took longer than they predicted, and while I appreciated the workers staying late into the night to work on the project, they didn't come prepared with all the equipment to do the work. They needed to borrow my extension cord because they didn't have one, and ended up plugging into the outlet in our backyard without asking, leaving our yard gate wide open. Fortunately our dog didn't escape before the open gate was noticed several hours later. They also helped themselves to items from our garage without asking, like our broom to sweep up their trash and debris. Lastly, and possibly most serious, the workers who were installing the system in our house were constantly pulling down their Covid masks when they thought we weren't around, and would scramble to pull them back up when they saw us. Bottom line, I probably got a good price on the unit and work, but it's not a very polished or professional company, so fingers crossed that everything was installed properly and will work for years to come."

"Daniel and his crew at SOS are everything you want in a service provider: affordable, thorough, friendly, experienced, and efficient! We got four bids for a full clean-out of our crawlspace. Three of the four estimators gave us a similar assessment (the fourth missed some big issues). Daniel did a thorough inspection, clearly explained what needed to be done, answered all of our questions, and provided us with a bid that was significantly less than his competitors (and it's no wonder - the larger providers have nice company cars, glossy folders, and fancy CD's).
We scheduled the clean-out for a few days later (the larger companies were scheduling 1 1/2 to 2 weeks out). Daniel's team arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and did an excellent job. Because there was one small area under some steps that was difficult to access, Daniel returned a few days later to complete the job. However, he wouldn't take any payment until he was sure that we were completely satisfied with the work! It was clear to us that customer satisfaction is a top priority for SOS.

"Referred to G&S through COSTCO. After some confusion by the new sales rep over just what needed to be done and what the cost would be, we got it ironed out and accepted their bid. Their inspector visited a few days in advance of the installation to determine what the installers would need to bring. The installers arrived on schedule and removed our old unit, installed a new Lennox unit, modified the indoor air handler and replaced the thermostat. Then they thoroughly tested everything and patiently explained how everything worked, including how to work the new thermostat. Cleaned up everything before leaving. Great job. COSTCO provides a gift card for 10% of the price of the unit, excluding tax."

"We'd used them four years ago to replace our windows. They were about 40% the cost of Renewal By Andersen for the same Andersen windows, were professional and courteous throughout the process, and we haven't had a single problem since. So when we wanted to put in a heat pump system for efficient heating and cooling they were high on our list. We got four bids, and once again they were the least expensive, in this case by a 30% margin. They explained our options well, came up with some creative solutions (we're an old house with old vent-work which they bypassed for the ductless pumps but used for a top quality air filter), and did the job quickly and efficiently. They've checked back a couple of times since to make sure everything is ok, which it is, and it's been really nice to heat our bedroom on some cold nights and cool my western facing home office on some sunny afternoons). When the permit inspector asked before they came over who our installer is and I told them, they said "They do really good work." Definitely recommend them to others and in fact already have."
