"I heard from James Ennis the owner, within minutes of requesting a quote on Angie's list. He called and I explained that I needed an outdoor spigot replaced because it was running constantly. He told me the cost would be $375 if there was access to it. He happened to have an opening that day because an earlier job turned out to be much smaller than anticipated, so I booked him right away and we hung up. About an hour later, my husband mentioned we should replace our other outdoor spigot since it was probably about to malfunction as well, so I texted James and asked if he had time to perform two replacements. He responded right away that he did - he would need to stop and get supplies for it. He texted me an approximate arrival time and he arrived very close to that. After looking at the two spigots, we agreed that one was easy to get to and one needed some drywall to be cut away. He told me approximately how long the whole job would take and then he went to work. He completed the job in less time than estimated and he left no mess indoors or out. When he was done, he showed me the finished product, which looks perfectly done. He was tolerant of my dog who followed James around whenever he could. James did not try to upsell me on any other services and he didn't charge me for having to cut the whole in the drywall, which I was grateful for. He also mentioned that he could smell gas in my basement and so he did a check around my hot water heater for leaks, for no extra charge. He didn't find a leak but recommended I have Excel out to double check. Overall, this was as good as a home repair experience that costs $700 could go. A+"

"Last week when our current hot water heater fractured and flooded the basement, I was bracing myself for a prolonged, complicated repair. Fortunately I was completely mistaken how much difficulty this would be. The team of Paul and Dianna made it painless. From the initial phone intake, to Paul's onsite consult, every step of the way I felt supported. We were trying to do this inexpensively so I ended up sourcing a replacement water heater from Lowes. But other than that we went with every prescribed step Flatirons Plumbing recommended. The quality of workmanship was excellent. I was pleased that we installed an additional cutoff valve so that if we needed to ever replace the water heater again in the future it wouldn't require cutting water to the whole house. Paul answered all my technical questions patiently and knowledgeably. Other than finding a slightly better deal getting the replacement water heater itself, I can't think of anything I'd recommend this repair place do differently. I'm a fan!"

Other businesses told us things like: we needed all new pipes. (We didn’t.) A new hot water heater would be $3,000 to $5,000 plus labor on the of that.
