"Lapp Gas Appliance is the most professional, responsive, and customer service-focused company we found after talking with 4 other companies regarding our conversion from electric to gas stove top. Their cost was extremely fair and worth every penny."

"Jason did a very nice job replacing all the steel mesh screening and screen door on our porch. The porch looks great with the new black mesh steel screening. The work was completed on time, and Jason kept the work area neat and clean. We are very satisfied and would be pleased to work with Jason again."

"Lenny diagnosed the source of failure of two major appliances, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. He carefully explained what parts were defective and came back with a colleague to repair the dishwasher. His analysis of the refrigerator problem prompted me to replace, not repair, the failing unit. His fee seemed reasonable to me, he was good about communicating when he would be able to arrive at my home, and he was reliable about coming when he said he would."

"Al responded right away after I posted the job at 9PM on Friday. I called him Saturday morning, and he came in two hours and fixed the dryer which was not heating up. He also quoted me an extremely reasonable price. He is knowledgeable, courteous and professional! Will definitely ask for his service again if anything in the house breaks. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Exton, PA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
