"Even after you paid a deposit these people will not return calls or emails. Probably the most unprofessional company I have dealt with. First off there is Ray X. Ray apparently takes week long vacations and does not set an out of office email reply. You would think if you call the people in the office to ask for help, they would say Ray is on vacation this week instead of He will call you back right away! The entire office seemed to not know he was on vacation, which is a huge problem because Ray is the only person who can actually make or edit a quote. Next up is Monica X. Monica also goes on vacations and does not set her email to reply informing people she is out of the office. When you call the office because Monica will not return your calls or emails, they seem not to know she is on vacation and will tell you she will call you back right away which will not happen. When you finally get Monica on the phone and ask is she got your voicemail, she will admit she does not check her voicemail. This is a huge problem because Monica is apparently the only person qualified to add a date to a calendar. You might think I am one of those customers that calls a lot and has a bunch of concerns... All I was trying to do was set a date for the job after paying my deposit. I had no questions or concerns. After we made a date I got a call the night before that they needed to cancel and my appoint was bumped a few more weeks. Finally a worker shows up about an hour late on the 2nd date and they brought a huge truck that was too wide to get into a driveway (Even though a 20ft shipping container got through there fine) making the job impossible. They said they would come at 7:30am the next day with the much smaller Van to do the job. At 7:50 I get a call from Monica. She says I think they were supposed to be there at 7:45? I correct her, and then she apologizes for them running late but they are on their way from Fairfield (20 minutes away.) 1 hour later I try to call Monica but she does not pick up and her voicemail box is full. Another half hour passes and I call again, no answer. Another half hour, no answer. Finally I call the office again and they are all in a big meeting. When I comment on Monica voicemail box being full they actually try to tell me that it must have filled up entirely within the timeframe of the meeting because of course she checks her voicemail. I never hear from Monica or Ray again, because they cannot be bothered. The worker arrives alone over 3 hours late and admits that he was told to go to another job first despite my job being weeks behind schedule, and the idea that he was on his way at 7:50 was a complete lie. Monica is a liar. Around the time the worker finally arrives I get a call back from the office. I had asked her earlier to go into the meeting and get me answers, and that I would like to speak to the owner or someone above these other clowns. She was calling to let me know the owner would be calling me in a couple minutes. 4 hours later as the job was getting complete I bring this up to the worker because I never received the call. He said he will bring it up to management and he will get him to give me a call (worker was some sort of manager apparently.) Guess what? He never called. They just sent the bill for the remaining balance of $6000 with no apologies."

"I had a terrific experience using Landscape Helper for my uphill slope landscape project. We recently had our backyard slope landscape project completed by Landscape Helper. This was a complex landscape project as it had a steep uphill slope with a 6 foot retaining wall adjacent to the back of the pool. Paul’s professionalism was absolutely top-notch and extremely comforting through out the entire process. We can’t speak enough about Paul’s expertise and experience through the process. His insight helped us tremendously in putting together the end result in which we were very happy with. The Landscape Helper crew is also very professional and takes extreme interest in making sure the work done meets the highest standard. "Do not be fooled by the positive reviews. It’s evident they are paying for reviews or having their buddies create fake ones. We had a lackluster experience with Haven Hub. I’m giving them two stars bc the job eventually got done, but I wouldn’t recommend them. Poor communication, project manager changes with no notice, and unprofessionalism made the process frustrating. (I have an endless list of things that went wrong but only 1000 words.) Contractors tried to upsell us under the table for work already in our contract, and the concrete wasn’t poured to spec. Crews didn’t show up for weeks; they left a dirt pile that got us warning from the city. Sprinklers in the park strip were initially promised by the salesman, then left out of his poor drawing. Even when we scheduled a final wrap-up date, they didn’t show. The park strip was never finished, despite many promises to do so. We signed March 5 and didn’t finish until May 29 — nearly three months when it should’ve taken weeks"

"Medinas Masonry was impressive from start to finish and after. I’ve interviewed several masons for a retaining wall I needed complete and I felt most comfortable with bid I got from Luis. He was the most confident in the work and I felt was reasonable with his price expectations and of a customer. I actually think he did not charge enough! I ended up having Medina’s masonry do the entire front and backyard project after the retaining wall was completed ahead of time. They also did more than was quoted just because they went it was the right thing to do while there. Never did I get a phone call telling me “hey it’s going to be more than expected” or longer than projected. I will always be recommending Luis, his team, and using them again in the future for any project I may have."

"Since I had previously been very impressed with Salvador Gallardo / Authentic Landscape on an urgent repair for our leaking irrigation valve system, I called on him again for my long dreamed of overhaul of our entire front and back yard beginning May 22, 2024. He advertises "You can be sure that you will receive quality work with a personal touch" which is exactly what I needed. I had a rather vague plan and relied on his expertise to help develop my dream. The major goal was to completely remove all the turf, leaving only the trees, a grape arbor (which Salvador needed to redesign and expand), and a couple areas of plants. We used a turf replacement rebate and he and Jesus, plus his sons Christian and Jesse, spent 2 weeks digging out all the nasty weeds and a several-inch layer of dirt. Our irrigation system was converted to sprinklers for the garden areas and drip lines around the outer areas of trees and original landscape plants plus a new control unit. Some of the trees required some pruning also. It was fun working with Salvador to figure just where my front and back “gardens” and pebble pathways would go. We added slabs of flagstone around the front and back faucets and replaced the remaining area with shredded wood. Additionally, he replaced one entire gate and had to redesign and repair of my second gate. My back garden is essentially a lawn replacement of ground cover plants, and the front garden utilized a lot of succulents and several other plants dug out and from my pots plus lots of poppy seeds. We added some ground cover and a variety of other plants I found on clearance sales. We incorporated my collection of granite rocks, and I’ve continued detailing with decorative features to make my “Never Too Late For A Happy Childhood” theme garden with fairy, farm, lighthouse, and Santa and reindeer areas, lots of solar lights/fireworks, windchimes, spinners, toys and sculptures, While reasonably priced, it was an expensive project but, after 20 years of dreaming, so worth the smile I can’t quit. Obviously I continue to highly recommend Salvador and Authentic Landscape. The guys worked very hard and were a pleasure to have around. Being able to make well advised adjustments as work progressed was a great advantage to accomplishing my desires."
