"Rich, the proprietor, is fantastic. He knows what heâ s doing, and does it really well, on time, and beautifully. We recently completed a whole-house remodel, and I didnâ t want wires and equipment all over the place ( like my older system). He gave me a great quote, was here when he said heâ d be, and finished that morning. No wires anywhere (except in the wall or hidden along baseboard), and he even made it so it all works beautifully together. "The computer technician, Tammy, was excellent.  He arrived on time and was very personable.  Our computer is several years old and has been running slow, so he cleaned it up for us.  He tried to show us how to perform some maintenance tasks on our own.  
After he was finished, he had to call in to the main Geek Choice number to settle the bill.  When I spoke with the person on the phone from Geek Choice, I was astonished when they told me the bill was for $300, which included 2.5 hours service at $100 per hour and a $50 fee for home visit.  I informed her that I had ordered the first hour through Angie's List for $75 and that the home visit fee was waived.  She retrieved my information and charged me a balance of $135, to include the reduced hourly fee of $90 per hour.  So Angie's List saved me almost $100, which I totally appreciate.  
I give the technician high marks but the company, Geek Choice, seems like just another corporation trying to make more money off the consumer than they should.  I'm glad I went through Angie's List.

"No complaints. The Technician was professional and completed the tasks in a professional manner. I used an Angies list coupon for one of the jobs and it was a fair price. The other TV was a little more. I used the Angies list service because I wanted to support local business people. I was surprised to find out the Tech was an independent contractor provided by a California company. A month or so later I needed another TV mounted. In addition to Hellotech I looked into another internet company that begins with "A" that provides local contractors for home repairs. The other service was quite a bit cheaper ($118) and the repair work was comparable. If I can't avoid national internet companies I might as well go for the cheapest."

I was impatient and didn't want to wait a few days for an appointment, so when I called around 1pm asking for a same day appointment, they made it happen. They were able to shuffle guys around and get them to my house all the way across town. Not only did they pull that off, I explained I had an appointment I had to go to within 2 hours. They had someone get to me within 30 minutes and complete my install. They didn't up-sell me, nor did they charge me for the rushed appointment. Bill from Inland electric arrived on time and gave us a complete estimate for the work we were asking for. We originally just wanted a whole house fan installed, and overhead lighting installed were there was no lighting at all. His work is so impressive that we ended up having our entire house done with beautiful recessed lighting, hung several large chandeliers, accent lighting, & he was able to install several light fixtures in rooms where no lighting existed before! "Great. They had to special cut a 2x4 to ensure the TV would be secure. Installed TV and hid the wires for a clean look. I also purchased long HDMI cords which caused the price to go up but that's reasonable."
