"Amazing! The staff was super friendly and respectful of our home. They took the time to show my kids different things they were doing and had the patience of saints! Trevor went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the results. The issues we did have with subcontractors were addressed quickly and efficiently by Trevor. We will be using him for future projects!!!"

"We haven't decided to go with him. He seemed to be knowledgeable and know his business. He took a lot of time with us. He was very young so I was a little apprehensive at first. We were impressed with him. We liked the way he itemized his bid. It was a little high but we haven't received any other bids for a point of comparison. It took a little bit of time for him to get the bid back but it was obviously thorough. The bid was $15,000. It was about a month later after our meeting before we got the bid."

"Bkjtech was very prompt and detailed. Their install was a quality professional job. We called for a waterfall end of counter solution. Albaro was able to maintain the pattern as an exact match as it “flows” over the counter onto the vertical slab. If you want skilled craftsman installing your quartz or granite countertop, call Bkjtech for a quality install."

"I have used them twice. They satisfy a particular market need and they provide lower costing workers. My friend says largely because they are utilizing union workers post hours. They can bid lower because they are using guys at least some of the times, who are supplementing union work. That basically describes the niche. They definitely bid under the others. The cost of labor is certainly competitive not to my surprise. Of course the material cost are all the same. As far as the quality of work I would not describe it as high end. It is more functional and proficient. The reason I called them back was because they bid low. There was a lot of finished work that needed to happen in order to meet the original objective just to make a conversion of a single family home into two apartments which involved adding a kitchen, finishing a storage space and making improvements to the renovation throughout. They did all the big stuff but there was a lot of little stuff. They were putting in a competitive bid and I was trying to save as much as possible. I didn't bring them to come back and do some work at home. I had some challenges with the door. They installed the door frame with an unconventional wall mount and I needed them to come back and correct it and they came back corrected it. It seemed to be sufficient but it still has a couple of new . that we work around. Another contractor probably would not have touched it because it wasn't the code specific. They are willing to consider unconventional requests. They did cleanup. Shawn the communicator and then he works with one guy . available."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Fairbanks, AK

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
