"BJ Pool & SPA is a first rate company.  Bob, the owner, has been working with pools for decades and knows everything about pools. He is actually willing to try to repair equipment, unlike many other lesser companies that merely put in new stuff.  If you have any issues with your pool and spa, these are the people to call: they will fix anything and will always provide you with the best options.  Bill, the specialist who came to work on the unusual configuration of equipment for my small indoor pool and spa, demonstrated a great deal of experience, ability and honesty.  BJ Pool & Spa might not seem cheap, however, given their vast knowledge, experience and technical ability, they will provide you with quality service and advice that will save you money in the long run.  Their competence and integrity is extremely reassuring.  It isn't always easy to find a good pool company (this industry isn't as regulated as other professions), and it took me a while to find this one. BJ Pool will be the company I call when I want honest and reliable service

"My furnace is very old and quit working.  I called several HVAC companies and received  quotes to replace ranging from $1,800 to $11,000.  I found Energy Wise on Angies and called Matt.  He returned my call within 30 minutes and was at my house within 24 hours.  After his inspection, he stated that the furnace was still in good shape and could offer me a  number of years service before buying a new unit.  He suggested replacing the motor and fan and cleaning internal parts.  All of this was completed by the end of the next day.
Matt is very professional, punctual, courteous and a pleasure to deal with.  Not only did he save me a great deal of money, I now have a heating/air conditioning system that has never worked better.

"My pond is the healthiest it's ever been, I don't know if it's because of backyard ponds, or whatever? But I now have baby fish about 12 of them and I am going to hire them to do my winterization. I got a very professional reminder from backyard ponds in the mail today, and I really appreciate the reminder. Sometimes things like this slip your mind, but it's very nice that they remind you that winter is coming up, and you need to plan for the future. My fish are not expensive, because this is a newly renovated pond. But I'm very happy with the job that they did, and I will recommend them in the future. And I will be using them very soon"

"Our pool was leaking badly and after a search on Angie's list Jaeson and his crew were able to fit is in for a leak test during the busy pre-memorial day season. They found that the leak was in the return pipes and Jaeson advised the job might be complicated, but he could come the following weekend to get it done, we were able to negotiate the price and agreed on $6250. We also needed the job to be done quickly as we are preparing the house to sell. He and his crew came that Saturday and got it done that day. They pulled the concrete up by the returns and found two were leaking. After finding the two broken pipes, they then re m-pressure tested the rest of the pipes to be sure there were no other issues. They then fixed the broken pipes, filled In the hole and repoured the necessary concrete. Jaeson and his crew were great, they kepped me informed and got the majority of the job done that day. Jason also came back the following Tuesday to reseal the backer rod and coping stone after the new concrete was dry completing the project. If we were staying we would switch to JA contracting for our other pool care needs."

"I scheduled an appointment through Shannon who confirmed that they did microwave installations although an estimated price could not be provided because of possible complications.  She did say it shouldn't be more than $200 if it was a straight job and I could use the Angie's List discount.  The service was scheduled between 12 noon and 3PM.  Shannon called to ask if they could arrive early.  I said yes, although I would be in a conference call when they arrived.  The two electrical men arrived at 10:45 PM when I was in a conference call on the phone.  They were polite and courteous but did not introduce themselves because I was in a conference call, but they did not provide an estimate on the cost, which Shannon said they would provide.  They installed the microwave and did do some clean up, which took them an hour, until 11:45.  When I asked for the price, since billed me for $325.  It came to $224 with the Angie's LIst coupon, which is still WAY MORE then Sears, considering Sears would have installed it for $189 with out any coupons or discount.  If I was not in a conference call, I probably would not have gone with them since Sears would have been cheaper, even without the coupon.  If i was not in the conference call, I would not have gone with them with the quoted price.  "

"Pool Pros came recommended by the pool builder, who uses them to perform pool startups and customer indoctrination.  They have a terrific guy who performs the startup and indoctrination, and primarily does repairs.  The crew that performed the weekly service, however, left a lot to be desired.  As a new pool, the finish required frequent brushing.  In addition to the weekly service, I paid to have them come out and brush the pool a few times.
The first week of service, I missed the crew, despite being away from the house for about 30 minutes the entire day.  I figured they must have pulled into my house right after I left.
The second week, I saw them pull in, went to introduce myself about 10 minutes later, and they were gone.  Another time, I saw one of the guys take 4 brush strokes, when he was supposed to brush the entire pool. 
One time I caught them about to leave after being there a few minutes, and asked if they vacuumed the pool.  They obviously hadn't been there long enough do it.  The tech replied "do you think it needs it?"  I pointed out that there were a lot of worms on the bottom.  He vacuumed the pool, but should I really have to ask?
This was a new pool, and we had to leave it open to allow the finish to cure.  Even though it was too cold to use, and didn't need to be pristine, I never felt I was getting what I paid for.

The fact that he was an Electrical Engineer allow him to address electrical issues I was having with my pool equipment rather that having to purchase a new pump or other items. The individual was very professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate the fact that he was very personable and appreciated me as a customer."
