Jeremy, the plumber, called ahead to let us know he was 15 minutes out and arrived exactly on time with his helper, Bailey. They introduced themselves, put on shoe covers, and got to work inspecting the area. They brought in a ladder and a camera and did a thorough inspection, and they identified the issue, we had a badly leaking old dishwasher. They also pointed out that the shut-off valves and nearby piping were in poor condition. While they recommended replacement, there was no pressure at all. After a quick discussion, we agreed it made sense to move forward. The work was done efficiently, cleanly, and with total professionalism. Dean presented the basic solution (similar in scope and price to the three other proposals that I obtained) and offered a couple of upgrades based on his experiences with homes of similar age and construction. The others offered upgrades that would have required the furnace to be replaced also (for thousands more). Instead of the basic 2 ton, 14 SEER unit everyone offers, I went with a 2.5 ton, 16 SEER unit, for only a few hundred more. The two installers worked as a team.
