"They made sure that I was not going to run into any problems and made sure that there was no Freon leak.  They were really great about doing that.  They will be servicing my furnace as well."

"Bruce was a consummate professional. He came out and assessed our old hot water tank, and then went to bat for us with the home warranty company for replacement approval. Once approved, he replaced the hot water tank quickly and was on his way, leaving the work area cleaner than when he got there. I highly recommend Glenrose Plumbing Service."

"They have been great. They cover all appliances, heating, air, and plumbing. It is $60 for an initial visit to have a ticket open. They basically fix whatever the problem is, but any secondary damage, like in my case. I had a pipe burst. They helped me with the pipes, but all of the flooding, I had to go through my homeowners insurance as a result of that. It is a little bit of paperwork, but it has been working well for me.  <br /> <br /> I didn't do a whole lot of comparison shopping. The first year of service was a gift from my real estate agent. I don't think the price has been awful for what they have covered. I have just had great service and had no reason to change."

"They are good. We have been using them for a couple of years; they do a pretty nice job for us. We choose to go to them because of convenience; they are just a couple of miles away. I have no idea if their price compare well, I have not even checked with other places. They just do general auto repair. I would use their services again in the future."

"The workman arrived on time and was able to assess the issues I was having. He checked my furnace to see if it was going to last and gave me an estimate for a new one. He then cleaned and tuned up my A/C unit and replaced a worn part. Good service and I would use again. The workman, Steve Sayler, did a great job, and was friendly and helpful. <br />"

"Insulation work was very good and the price was good. The vapor barrier was a bit sloppy along the edges and I needed to re-staple some of it, but not too bad. I would use again."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Fernwood, ID

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
