"Everything from the bidding process, through completion, was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Dimitri and every person who he brought into our home treated it as anyone would want their own to be treated. This was not a small project. They vaulted the ceiling in the living area, completely removing the roof on half the house, and did a full new roof. Matched the existing red oak hardwood flooring, and sanded/re-stained the entire upstairs. All the plumbing and electrical in the entire house was replace. New kitchen, 3.5 new bathrooms, finished basement, combined two bedrooms to make a master suite. New HVAC. New generator…. You name it, and it was done. When all was said and done, I think our two hall bedrooms were the one walls that weren’t torn down. We could not possibly recommend Dimitri and his company (his two sons work with him as well) any higher. They are honest, and hard working. Old school in all the best ways."

"Overall, I had an outstanding experience with everyone from John Krause Construction. Their customer service was most impressive. They asked about and worked around my schedule, were all prompt, courteous and friendly, and showed a true desire to complete the work to my satisfaction. Their explanations of the work to be done and the time it would take were clear and accurate. They started the work in less than a week after I signed the contract, and completed it in a week. This was well beyond my expectations since a lot needed to be done, including drywall repair and painting some hard to reach areas, shingle repair, gutter cleaning, and concrete step repair. Their cost estimate was competitive and fair. There were a couple hiccups along the way, including matching the interior paint color and trouble with installing a door handle, but everything worked out ok. For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"
