"After looking around for four years and interviewing a number of companies, we decided to go with Rob at First Choice Builders and we are very glad we did. From the beginning, he listened to us about our vision for the basement and laid out a fantastic design that included elements that both my wife and I were looking for. While he was not the cheapest bid, he was reasonable in price, very highly rated on Angie's list and we loved the basement that he completed for another customer. As a result, we decided to go with him. <br /> Rob is very good at communicating with his customers, and was patient and thorough when talking with us about his timeline and what he needed from us. So important was good communication to him that he fired two sub-contractors that he had used in the past because they were not responsive to our phone calls or his. I was very impressed in this respect. <br /> He got started framing out the basement relatively quickly and the work progressed at a good pace. He regularly showed up when subcontractors were in to both check their work and make sure we were happy. The basement was also left as clean as could be reasonable expected at the end of each day. <br /> Rob and Mike found several serious problems with the house that were only evident after the work began. Rob was very good about showing us the problems (improperly supported I beam in the basement and moldy wood under the siding because of a lack of proper flashing) and helped us decide on the appropriate fix while trying to stay within the budget. They then made the repairs, showing us along the way what they were doing. <br /> After building a custom entertainment center, Rob and Mike helped hang the TV and hook up the components. They even brought in a cleaning service to clean up the basement and the main level when everything was done. <br /> They helped us anticipate issues and solve them before they became a problem. Their design suggestions were top notch, they were trustworthy and courteous and they earned my trust (which is not always easy). Best of all though, their work was fantastic and I believe that they deserve the title "Craftsmen." <br /> If you are thinking about having work done, call them in for an interview, you will not regret it! <br />"

"Remodel went great! Izabela, Wally, and their crews are all very professional and do excellent work. We had already used Chicagoland Remodel for a bathroom remodel and there was no need to look any further when it came to the kitchen. Our project was unique because we live in a loft building that was once a factory. The layout is unique and the team worked with us to make everything just how we want. Walls were taken down, plumbing and gas lines rerouted, cabinets installed, lighting, and more was all done perfectly. We will use again when it comes to our future projects!"

"I have been working with Joe and his Company for about 2 years now. I met him originally on one of my first flip homes in the Des Plaines area. He came on time with his Electrician, HVAC Tech, Plumber, and his carpenters to formulate a working bid on the spot. I was impressed with that from the start. In 17 days they finished the basement framing and electrical, Installed new electrical service at the panel, carpeted the home, refinished the wood floors, made the 3 season room a permanent room in the home, did all the tile and trim work, painted the entire home and garage, stained the deck, installed new garage door, Roofed the garage, repaired some siding on the home, Did all the landscaping, Painted the entire interior, customized trim to really make the flooring pop, installed all the appliances in the new kitchen, ran ducting for new fans, etc, etc, etc......... If someone would have seen this foreclosure, they would not have believed 17 days later it would be a stunning new property. <br />   <br /> That is the level of service I grew to expect and was never disappointed by Joe and the guys. The phones are always answered promptly and they tend to my needs in a very expeditious fashion. <br />   <br /> Being a high volume, rapid turn business, I base my business model off the performance of my contractors. I have never had any problems with performance, communication, or level of quality. <br />   <br /> I buy foreclosures and gut them to the studs. Joe and his team come in and turn them into beautiful homes with high end finishes that sell quickly. They perform every aspect of the job and coordinate any outside services. "His responsiveness was really refreshing. We called the receptionist, and she provided cell phone numbers if they were not near them. It was never, "they are not in." The owner, Don, also was great with communicating with us. They also gave us, in writing, a step by step of the garage build. They structured the payments as they went along with the build. We felt like they were never to busy for us."

Wonderfully courteous Salesperson (Scott Thorson) responded quickly and provided timely quotes as well as multiple options without the extremely aggressive sales approaches of other window companies. Replaced a large number of badly needed, very large and hard to reach Windows on the second floor of our home including a large half round and an eyebrow. Windows came in in the normal 4-6 week time period and were installed within a week as promised. Installers were prompt, courteous and clean minimizing disruption. They even reinstalled the blinds without being asked In a dormer window, a huge cost and time saver for us! Building inspections were scheduled and went super well. Inspector said, "when I saw who was doing the work, knew there would be no issues, they do good work" Olsen was pleasure to work with, I can't recommend them more!"

"Our sales rep Gary was very helpful. When I met with him about the garage, he mentioned they also do general concrete work. They got us prices quickly on two different options for the concrete layout for the driveway and a garage that would match the house nicely. I feel as a combo we got a great price. <br /> They got all of the permits and handled the inspections. The work was scheduled to when it best worked for us and the had the concrete work done in 3 days, and once it cured built the garage in 2 days. Everything looked great and passed all inspections for the village. Nice doors on the garage and they mounted the ight fixture that i selected to match the house. <br /> We will use them again probably doing another driveway next month. <br />"

"On July 9, 2012 I phoned John Sieminski and asked him if he would come to my home location and give me a final estimate on the garage repair. Last summer I had him look at the garage problem which consisted of rain water and dirt coming in the garage from one corner of the garage all the way to the large door. One thing he mentioned last year was that the dirt had to be lowered to be even with the sidewalk. Last week my husband was on vacation and worked all week on removing the square bricks from the side of the garage and lowering the dirt so that it would be even with the sidewalk. When I spoke with John Sieminski on Monday he said he would not come over to give me a final estimate for he is booked up until the end of the year. He said that if I would have had him complete the work last year he would have been available. He mentioned that I should call someone else. With the state of our economy so many providers are looking for work. Since he past up this job I did call two other providers from Angie's List and they are more than willing to give us estimates and complete the work. My husband and I are very disappointed that John Sieminski would not come out to look at the garage and give us a final estimate since my husband took the time to complete this dirt and brick project on his vacation last week, especially with the temperature in Illinois over 100 degrees. Well, there are always other providers out there and no one is indispensible."
