"Plumber did such a poor job I had to pay another plumber just to correct his mistakes. He left his shop vac and tools afterward. Left a toilet in my closet which I was told was to be picked up 9 days ago. Called and spoke with Jasmine who was absolutely rude and condescending and refused to give me a day for the toilet to be picked up. Save yourself the headache and find anyone else."

"Jimmy came out to do the fall service for our two systems. He was especially meticulous in servicing and answering questions we had about what needed to be done to insure our systems were working as well as they could be nto keep our energy costs down. He was on time and available to help in any way he could. We have had other Heating and Air Companies but have never been as satisfied as we were today."

"Overcharged with no description of fees. Agreed just due to having heat turned off for a week and wanting it back on. Later learned they charged me 500$ for a 5 minute install of a 25$ part. Then, they mailed me an extra bill for 100$ for "employee time" when they stated their initial bill was all inclusive. Absolutely ridiculous overcharging."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Franklin, TN

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
