"The service call went very well. Tyler arrived on time and promptly set to work. He was able to troubleshoot my water heater issue and resolve it as well as performing the air conditioner tune up. I was impressed by his knowledge, quickness & efficiency. I am considering replacing my 10-year old water heater and will certainly reach-out to Tyler & Laury when the time comes."

"They have completed many ac and heating installations at my property rentals as well as my home. They do a great job, prices are very fair and they are so easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing repairs or new installations."

"These guys are legit. They know what they are doing. I have a 100+ year old house. Needless to say the situation was complex with no documentation to assist them in finding sewer lines, vents, cleanouts, etc. They resolved the problem and solved a bunch of others in the process I’d given up on ever being resolved without just replacing the entire drainage system and which had flummoxed everyone else I’ve used in the past including some very highly rated plumbers. If you are looking for a plumber, you can stop now. These are the guys for you."

"These guys were pros through and through. We wanted to remove the old oil furnance (that was about the size of a VW bug) and replace it with a more energy friendly and cost saving gas furnance. They gave us multiple cost options from keeping our current water heater, going tankless, or changing to a higher eneregy effecient heater (which we chose.) The decisions were made more complicated as we have a heat pump on the 2nd and 3rd floor while the oil furnance serviced the 1st and 2nd floor. Mike, our sales manager was patient with our continous questions and responded via phone and/or email.
The job was occuring in December and they tried to negate as many hours without heat as they could. The project manager, Joe, kept us updated throughout the project - making sure he reviewed with us everything they did each day, the next steps, and their progression on the timeline. They kept the place immaculate. They warned us previously that taking out the old furnance would likely do damage to the stairwell - and the stairs were nicked quite a bit, but they came in with a sander and smoothed them down and even offered to paint them if we had matching paint.
We had them come out to do a couple of tweaks, but the system works great, and will definitely save us money in the long haul. We are putting in AC this summer (I know our installing timing is opposite from what it should have been) and we are having Vaughan install a high velocity Unico system shortly. I wouldn't use anyone else.

"After buying a new refrigerator, Home Depot told me I needed a plumber to run a new water line to the refrigerator. I was not happy with the Home Depot tech that called me. The plumber, Dave, arrived soon after I called Harris and did a phenomenal job! He was friendly, professional and worked quickly. Thank you, Dave, and Harris Plumbing!!"

"Great experience. Came out quickly to assess the situation and fixed the problem the very next morning. They had to manually empty the old 50 gallon water heater (so tedious!) and were extremely professional and pleasant the whole time they were in the home. Thank you, thank you!"

FAQs for water main install, replace or repair projects in Franklinville, NJ

If you notice puddles or standing water in your yard, a sudden drop in water pressure, cracks forming in your foundation, frequent clogs in your plumbing fixtures, or water that looks or smells unusual, you might have a leak in your main water line. These signs mean it's time to call a professional to evaluate the issue and prevent further damage.

A professional water main inspection is a comprehensive evaluation performed by a licensed plumber who checks every section of your plumbing system. The inspection costs $165 and uses advanced diagnostic techniques to identify hidden leaks or wear. This service clarifies the exact condition of your water main, enabling precise repairs that prevent future damage and ensure the overall health of your plumbing system.

Protect your water main by scheduling a cleaning and inspection every two to five years. The average cost of a sewer line cleaning is $400. It’s also important to never dig in your yard without first calling the dig line (811) to ensure you don't accidentally hit the water or sewer lines. Watch for soil erosion, low water pressure, or wet spots in your yard, and take immediate action if you suspect a leak. Remember, the longer you leave it, the worse the problem gets and the more costly it is to fix.

When properly maintained, your water main is engineered to remain functional for 50 years or longer. A durable water service in excellent condition should consistently perform without major issues for half a century. In contrast, metal pipes exposed to acidic soil corrode faster, whereas modern plastic pipes resist corrosion and function for decades beyond metal alternatives. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential for confirming your system’s longevity.

No, homeowners insurance does not cover the cost to repair a water main. Insurers fund only sudden, unforeseen events like a burst pipe and exclude gradual issues or normal wear and tear. Damage resulting from leaks, such as mold remediation or property claims, is not covered. It is essential to contact your insurance provider immediately to confirm your policy’s details and any potential adjustments needed.
