"I called the company on Wednesday and my garage door opener was installed on Thursday. The customer service was awesome. The technician was Justin Brown who was friendly, fast and efficient. He installed the opener, explained the new system , cleaned the area and was out under 1 hour. I would highly recommend this company."

"I am so happy that I selected EZhawk Garage Door to come out and take a look at my garage door which was not working right. Stephen Hawk came to my house, at no charge, and was totally open and honest with me. Instead of exaggerating the condition of my door he gave me an honest evaluation and quote very fair for his recommended repairs, he did not try to sell me a new door. If I should ever need a new door he would be the first company I would call and probably give him the job. Thanks Steve, thanks Home Adviser"

Customers say: Quick response

"I returned home on 3-26-26 and pressed the garage door opener. The door went up a foot and stopped. I went inside and saw that a spring had broken. I got on Angie list, and within 5 minutes I got a call from garage door MD. They said that they give free estimates and could be over in about an hour. Within an hour Jake arrived and within minutes gave me an estimate of 440 dollars. Jake was not pushy, he was knowledgeable and friendly. He completed the work in a timely fashion and at a fair price. When done he took the time to show me the places to keep lubricated on the door. It was a stress free timely encounter that did not break the bank. I know who I will call if I ever need garage door service again, thank you jake."

FAQs for garage door opener installation and replacement projects in Fraser, MI

A chain-drive opener costs less, but it’s louder and needs more upkeep. If your budget allows, a belt-drive model is often the smarter long-term buy, especially for an attached garage with a bedroom above where noise matters. The decision between a chain or belt opener comes down to your budget and needs, and your garage door opener installer can help you choose an option that best suits you.

Choosing the right horsepower for your garage door opener is crucial for safe and efficient performance. Your garage door’s design and material determine the required horsepower. A single-car garage demands a half horsepower rating, while a two-car garage requires a rating between three-fourths and 1.25 horsepower. Selecting the proper power level ensures optimum performance and durability over the life of the opener.

Plan on a quick garage door tune-up once or twice a year. Tighten the chain or belt, lubricate moving parts, test the safety sensors, and swap out weak batteries in the remotes or backup unit. A few dollars in lubricant and 30 minutes of work can fend off costly repairs, keep the door running smoothly, and help the opener hit its full life expectancy.
