"John from AA Waterproofing showed up on time to analyze the water problem coming through my foundation. He showed me a video that gave me all the alternatives to fixing it with the internal French Drain showing the best results - and warrantied for any future problems for both me and anyone who buys my house in the future. Although this is not an inexpensive solution, it appears to be the best. John did a nice job of responding to all my questions both during the inspection and afterwards. I did do some research on the costs and AA's bid came in down the middle range. The crew (4 men) showed up on time (actually an hour early) and immediately got to work covering all the steps down to the basement and the front entry way. They also put plastic covering over all the stuff in the unfinished basement. The work went quickly and neatly as could be expected. Sam, the foreman, did a good job of answering my questions and showing me the progress. They had 70 feet of internal digging and piping to be done to connect to a new sub pump that was part of the bid. All in all, the job too two days (much faster than anticipated) and looks good. After cementing (special hydro pressure cement) the wall where the crack existed, Sam also installed an extra mold proof walling over the that area. Overall, the work looks good with a nicely done cementing of the drain around the perimeter of my basement. So far we have not experienced enough rain to test the results, but I feel confident that this was the best solution done by a very competent company."

The work was done in March, but we have waited until well into the rainy season to submit this review, so we could be sure there were no further water problems. Dan, Tony, and the men who assisted Tony were excellent! Dan told us the work would take four days, but they completed it in three. They dug up a small mountain of soil in the backyard while working on the foundation, and their clean up job was very clean. "We found Basement Waterproofing Nationwide to be highly ethical and very knowledgeable. A little over a year ago we had BWN perform some basement waterproofing. We were delighted with the work and the options presented to us as well as the speed with which it was done. This summer during the very heavy rains, we had some water seep into the basement so we called for an evaluation. As it turned out, the rebuild contractors (which we had opted to contract with a lower price provider vs. using subs hired by BWN) never communicated to us that the newly installed sump pump required an electrician and that it was not hooked up. This house is inhabited by tenants and we are not in the same state, so it's hard to tell where the communication breakdown occurred. Basement Waterproofing Nationwide's service rep however was extremely professional and helpful in delivering this bad news. He also checked and was able to confirm that the waterproofing was still good. He made a few suggestions like letting us know that he noticed where the drywall had been replaced that the outlet plates were never reinstalled. I also had some questions about the contract and he was very helpful and had the office fax me the pertinent info that same day. Lesson learned for me was that it would probably have been better to let BWN hire the contractors for the rebuild esp when you are out of town and unable to oversee. When there are heavy rains in the area like Baltimore had in July, it might take a few days for them to process the volume of calls especially if the nature of your request is minor. But they do respond. They are extremely professional and they stand behind their work."

Due to another job they had to start the following morning I'm sure they would've have liked to have an extra day to complete the job They Installed a sump pump system in the basement the concrete was a monolithic poured slab a very thick concrete floor they Jack hammered threw to install the sumps drain pipes."

When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It is a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate. Since then, any time we have had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer.
