"I had a great experience with the American Contractor Near Me. They remodeled our cafe's kitchen and the new look is amazing. It was an absolute pleasure to work with this company. The crew members were incredibly patient, taking the time to thoroughly explain all of our options and patiently answering every question we had. I will hire them again for all my remodeling needs in the future"

"Jaye came to look at a damaged back porch roof and a garage ceiling that had been torn apart to fix broken pipes. Jay discussed the roof at length opened up the ceiling panels to inspect the damage. He advised me to call a roofing company as the damage was extensive, but said he'd replace the damaged ceiling panels and trim afterward. Meanwhile, he completed the garage. He took out the space heater my husband had installed (a fire hazard), insulated the heck out of the area, and repaired/replaced the drywall. I really appreciate his honest and thorough assessment of the roof and the great job he did on the garage ceiling. Very nice, very professional and efficient. Look forward to him finishing the deck trim."

"Terry was very professional.  He explained everything and went through various options with me.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> He was able to get my railing repaired and then came back to install it into the cement, all while it was pretty cold outside!"

"Everything went smoothly. The crew did a wonderful job. They were very careful of all my shrubs and and property as they had to remove my 2 old roofs first. Clean up was great and my new roof looks beautiful."

"I am sorry that I do not remember the true date but it was in the spring/summer of 2010. <br /> The workers were on time and professional but being a first time home owner (which I told them), I did not know all the right questions to ask.  They had installed 15 windows and never sealed them in.  When I called back about 6 months later because I was feeling the cold come through the windows, I was told that it would cost me another $500 to seal them in.  I ask you, who installs windows and doesn't seal them in? <br />"

"We had the best experience with this contractor! Starting with Clark the onsite supervisor he's very knowledgeable, professional and a great communicator. He made sure that we knew what was going on and the plan for the next day. Our job took about 4 weeks and we were totally comfortable having them in our home everyday. Matt, Sam and Eric were all awesome and we were very happy with their hard work! This team did a great job! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor that does what they say they're going to do. Thank you Clark, Matt, Sam and Eric good luck to you all!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Funkstown, MD

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
