"I have rain water undermining the driveway near my attached garage. I reasoned that pumping a supporting substance would not only fill in the "undermined soil", the substance forced in under pressure would also support the concrete driveway. The inspector informed me that my theory would not work and that what I needed was pea gravel inserted into the hole created by the drainage. He seemed quite competent and I accepted his assessment. It was refreshing to have a candid answer rather than "we can do it" even though the attempt would not have solved my issue"

"Most companies that I contacted either did not know how to do concrete driveway repairs or didn’t want to bother with them. East Coast Concrete knew exactly what to do to repair my driveway and did an excellent job. I plan on hiring them for additional work."

"Brandon was very friendly and professional. He came out the same day we spoke (Thursday) to provide the free estimate. He then took care of the construction debris the following day (Friday) and the yard debris the following business day (Monday). He was working alone due to COVID-19, but worked very quickly. The pile of yard debris was pretty large, but he worked non-stop until it was gone. We wouldn't hesitate to call Brandon again and would feel very comfortable recommending him to anyone that needs hauling services."

"I had Jose out to estimate the cost of re-pouring two sections of driveway as part of a larger drainage project. I told him in passing that we also needed a new retaining wall with drainage, and he told me that he could do that too. He quoted me a price that was significantly better than the many others I had received for the same project. He also gave me three references, who all spoke very well of his work. A schedule conflict came up for Jose's crew at the last minute, but they were able to work around it and adhere to the original schedule they had set for my work. They completed it on time, with no cost overruns. We have been through a few good rainstorms now, and the drainage seems to work very well; other contractors around the house have commented on how good the retaining wall and new concrete look. Jose and his crew were very professional and responsive throughout the process, and I would hire them again."

"The job went very well. Ciro with Millenium Concrete was great to work with, very responsive and was quick to communicate any scheduling changes. His responsiveness was miles better than any other construction contractor I have dealt with. He provided me with some examples of his work beforehand so I was comfortable with my choice and the price he quoted me was better than the other quotes I received. The work was high quality and to my expectations and he finished on schedule. I don't know how it could have gone much better, really. Especially after recently completing our new house and having to work with contractors that wouldn't even answer an email or return a call until after the third attempt only to do a half baked job. I would definitely recommend Ciro and Millenium Concrete to anyone who needs a driveway poured!"

"After reviewing our situation CFS recommended we contact a brick mason to rebuild the support columns.  His conclusion was that it would not be a good investment to utilize their services for the repair I needed.  He also surveyed our fireplace and attached porch and noted potential areas to keep and eye on. <br /> No pressure at all to contract for services, he was very knowledgeable and professional.  He provided good background information for us to understand what had caused the problems (ground settling) and how to monitor for future changes. <br /> While we did not contract with CFS I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Fuquay Varina, NC

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
