"Our house is 63 years old and had the original aluminum windows from 1956. After several bids we decided to go with Marty and Guardian Windows. The quality of the window compared to other companies seemed to be better. The installation crew (Fernando, Matt, Jim and Darrell) showed up on a Thursday, two and a half days later they had replaced our 25 windows. These guys were very professional and hard working individuals. Every rough opening provided a challenge for trimming out based on the age of the home plus the difference in the window width of the old windows versus the new. It was amazing the job they did and how "new" it makes our home look. We've had many compliments so far. I noticed one small blemish in a pane plus they actually found a "small" scatch in another but Fernando immediately contacted the window manufacturer and replacements will arrive with a few weeks. "Mike, the owner, was very nice to work with, although I did not see him again after the initial plans were made.  We had a frustrating delay in getting approval from our HOA to do the work, but Mike kept in touch the whole time and had a crew ready to go as soon as we received approval.  The work crew showed up very promptly each day and were very neat throughout the job, and did not hesitate to ask me questions about what I wanted.  After they left I discovered that they did not finish painting one of the posts on the back porch and some of the gray paint used on the siding had splattered on one of the front porch rails, but I am hoping they will come back to correct that.  The job cost more than I was hoping since my neighbor with a similar house had hers painted a year ago for half the price.  I bought the Exterior $1299 deal from Angie's list, but it was explained to me that my house would cost more because of all the trim.  So, it would  have to be a pretty small house to fit the $1299 deal, since two of our exterior walls are all brick and did not need paint, and it is only a 1785 sq.ft. house.  Having said all this, I would definitely hire them again as I am very pleased with the overall work on the house and the way it looks brand new!

"I consulted with Rob to remove some trees and to discuss placing a root barrier at the front of my home.  I have had some cracking inside the house and had been advised to install a root barrier for some oak trees in the front yard.  Rob gave me an estimate for the oak trees but on examining the house and yard said that the trees were quite small to be causing that damage, as well as that the damage was not located where it would be expected if due to the trees.  He placed a call to consult with a local foundation expert including video of the trees and the cracked expansion joint on the side of my house.  At the same time while he was examining the property he recognized that right next to where the foundation damage is occurring, there is a part of the yard that is chronically waterlogged.  Once he pointed it out it was clear that this is the source of the foundation damage, particularly since we've had severe droughts in the last several years but this part of the lawn is usually very wet.  Rob also spoke with the adjacent neighbor on that side about drainage issues in his lawn, as some of the water is coming from the neighbor's irrigation.  The drainage system he installed cost 600$, whereas the root barrier would have been $3,000 and wouldn't have fixed the problem.  So I really feel that Rob's honesty, experience, and thorough evaluation of our problem saved us a ton of money, corrected an issue with the lawn we've had since moving in, and rescued our foundation. 
   The tree removal was great.  All of the work was done in about seven hours, and there was no clutter or mess left.  I will definitely be a repeat customer for landscaping needs in the future."
