John made two home visits, to get measurements and scope of work for a quote and the second to verify sequencing. For three rooms totaling about 350-400 sqft it took John and his team 6 working days plus one additional day for requested adjustments for 7 days total. Work included sanding, leveling, refurbishing antique floor fasteners, applying one coat of stain, and closing out with 3 coats of sealers. John and Charlotte were very accommodating and did one additional day of work to make sure the color of the floor was just right. If you’re looking for a bonafide expert and veteran owned business, start with John Robbins! I’m going to them first for my next flooring project."

"Lucy's Floors did an amazing job on my new home. They installed wood flooring in part of the house and refinished hardwood floors in another part of the house. They did an amazing job! Lucy was very professional and helpful with needed materials. The pricing was very reasonable. Her staff were on time and very nice when I popped in to say hello. "I would have put 4 stars because, although the floors were done beautifully, there was some lousy communication during the process. The crew was supposed to be completely done by Thursday, so I started going about my day in the house on Friday and was unpleasantly surprised to see them show up to "finish". They also left a giant pile of trash on my lawn after completing the job (not just sawdust which I expected, but a pile of carpet padding which was not from my house). It was difficult to get in touch with anyone to get answers for a few days over the weekend. The reason I'm giving 5 stars is that, when I finally did get a response, I talked directly with Marteen the CEO, who was very apologetic about the trash and lack of communication regarding the crew's need for an extended timeline, and came by to remove the trash himself. He checked in afterwards to make sure I felt better about the whole experience. The crew actually did an amazing job on the floors and they look brand new, I just wish their mindfulness and communication during the job was a bit better. So what would have been 4 stars is definitely 5, and Marteen's effort is the reason. I've been recommending TLC since. If you want your hardwood floors to look amazing without paying through the roof, TLC is the place to go."
