"I'll start this review by saying that to me, the "end result" is what counts most.  And Neale and his company produced exactly the custom look security fence I had envisioned.  This was a bit of an unusual request, because even though many people have iron bars welded over their A/C units for security, I needed two large, expensive (side by side) heat pumps protected.  Also, I felt a "security fence" would look better than just metal bars.  So here was my experience: After 1st calling and getting leaving a message with an assistant, it did take a few days but Neale called me back to set up an appointment to give an estimate.  He arrived right on time, took a look at the situation, and after a few minutes of brainstorming we were on exactly the same page in terms of design - and I liked how he sketched it out.  I also felt his quote was very reasonable (his was the 3rd estimate I had gotten).  And I don't know, there was just something about Neale, I could tell he had a *passion* for security fencing and "keeping crooks out" so to speak.  After getting my estimate in writing via email later that day, I put down my (1/3) deposit.  About a week later, after fabricating much of the fence in his shop, Neale and his team arrived and got to work fast.  I took them 2 days total, which was fine (day #1 they installed the fence posts and the concrete needed to set overnight).  Day# was most of the assembly,  welding and the paint job. Now, about 2 weeks later, I am extremely happy with the final result.  Very secure, and very sharp looking!  Even the gloss black paint job is very nice.  My neighbors have made several admiring comments over the past week also.  The only thing I could fault, if anything, would be if speed - is critical too you.Baltimore Wrought does seem like a busy company so don't be surprised if there is a week or so delay / backlog.  Also, they do prefer cash payment vs credit card.  (I did my deposit on credit card and paid the final 2/3 cash).  But  these minimal factors were not a big deal for me, because *high quality* work and to a lesser extent, total price, were all I really cared about - and these guys definitely delivered on both!

"mail.We originally contacted the contractor near the end of April since my wife and I wanted to get some stumps removed from our back yard and to replace the fence. We were also wondering if we needed to get the large spruce tree at the front of the house cut down since it was leaning and shedding alot of needles. Ben came out and gave us an estimate for removing the tree, grinding and removing the stumps in the yard, taking down the fence, and grading the sloping back yard, which is what we also wanted.
The quote we received was complete, and stated that it was good for 60 days. Well, work ramped up, and we weren't able to get fence quotes as well as a boundary survey completed until mid to late June after we came back from vacation.At that point, we had decided to leave the tree alone, since we were told it was healthy and not a danger. We also found a fence company we were comfortable working with.
Two days after the 60 days was up, I both telephoned and emailed the company with a revison of the original quote (minus the tree removal)  and said that I hoped that that quote was still good, and that we would like to get the work done within two weeks to coordinate with the fence contractor.
I didn't get any response, so I again left a voice mail.
I understand that it is a small family-owned business, but I would hope that someone would check both email and voice messages at least once a day.  Email is great, but it still doesn't beat the personal touch of a real person's voice on the phone.
I'd still like to hire them, and I know that I let time pass before deciding to hire them, but I would appreciate some contact, please.

"The guys showed up right on time. I had purchased an Angie's List deal and they said that they were going to have to charge me slightly more money due to the size of the house, which I was fine with because I knew the house was larger than they were expecting and the amount of money they charged really was reasonable for the task at hand. I appreciated the fact that not only did they clean out all of the gutters, they also cleaned up all of the debris that rained down.  The other thing I liked was he noticed that some of the gutters needed repair and he made sure to tell me about that. Although they were not able to repair the gutters that day due to time constraints and staffing constraints,  I am actually going to get a quote from the same company as to how much it would be to repair the gutters. All in all I am extremely pleased with the service.

"We obtained several opinions and quotes, and decided to go with Mark and his team because they provided several solutions for the issue: 1) Install pipe underground that connected our sump pump output to a pop-up at the bottom of the yard, so that water from the sump pump could no longer saturate the lawn 2) plant topsoil and grass, so that the water had a place to go instead of just washing the mud down the hill, and 3) redo the concrete step at the base of our walkway with a gradient so that water would no longer collect there. All three solutions worked. We have since had two storms and our walkway has remained puddle and mud-free. Furthermore, Mark was very professional. Proactive communication, arrived on-time as expected. Called before he came by. Mark proved to be trustworthy, and followed-through on everything he said he would do. "The booking process is done only through the phone - no email. When I called to schedule the painting, everyone that I spoke to was nice and respectful.  On the day of the painting, the painter showed up at 7:30 a.m. when I was told he was going to arrive between 8am and 9am.  The painter was nice and respectful.  The ceiling looked good after it was painted. I asked the painter to prime and then paint the bathroom walls and ceiling.  I brought the primer and Benjamin Moore bathroom paint to the bathroom. The painter only primed the ceiling. 
I had more painting that needed to be completed so I scheduled a follow up visit with the painter - 8 hours for about $400. Within 2 days the paint began to peel in the freshly painted bathroom. I called the company about the peeling paint and they said that they would have a painter come out and fix it. That did not happen. When the painter came out for 8 the hours of painting that I paid for, he said he did not have time to complete the new painting along with fixing the peeling bathroom.  He did verify that the bathroom was not primed before it was painted.  I immediately called the company to let them know that this painter was not going to fix the paint in the bathroom. I really did not get anywhere with the company during this phone call. I was promised a return phone call once my issue was further discussed at the office. I emailed them pictures of the peeling paint, but I never received an email or a call back. I decided it was not worth my time pursing, for it did not appear that this company was going to stand by their work. I can paint, so I decided to fix it myself.
One item to note is that holes and imperfections on the walls will not be fixed unless you specifically request this service. The painter did not patch any holes or large indentions in the wall. Instead, he just painted over them, leaving the holes and indentions intact. If you employ this painter, just make sure you are very specific on every detail.
The paint job in my bedroom and the hallway looks beautiful.
