"I have worked with a number of the stone suppliers in Central Ohio so I had a level of expectation for this type of work. From my initial contact with Konkus, I was amazed and blown away by the treatment I received and the quality of customer satisfaction I received! My first call was to a representative who deals with commercial accounts. She referred me to Brandi Croak. Brandi sensed my urgency and I went to their facility the same afternoon. We looked at a number of pieces and selected a product which we agreed would work. An appointment to measure the workspace was scheduled. A contractor here dropped the ball on the installation of the final cabinet so when the technician arrived to take the laser measurements, he worked around my contractors. Once a price was agreed upon, the scheduling coordinator went to work. I needed everything accomplished yesterday, Heidi worked her magic and the work commenced. The installers arrived five minutes early and each went to his task immediately. Stone in a home is a welcome and important finish. The job can be a big struggle if you select the wrong vendor. The day I called Konkus Granite opened the door to a new experience. Professionalism, competitive pricing, wide product selection and punctuality are the hallmarks of Konkus. "<p>Our first contact with Granite Direct was at the 2016 Spring Home & Builders Show.  We left them a rough sketch with measurements and within a couple of days we received a quote.  Carolyn sent us the names and addresses of their granite suppliers and we went and put together a short list of selections.  This was all new to us as we've never had granite counters installed.</p> <p>We received a second quote from a different company which was a little less than the Granite Direct quote.  But they were very slow to respond so we felt that Granite Direct would give us better customer service.  A lower quote doesn't do much for you if the customer service is sub-par.</p> <p>The measurement and installation went great.  The techs were prompt and professional.  There is one thing I would do different,  and this is totally on me and nothing to do with Granite Direct.  We bought a single hole faucet and also wanted to install the soap dispenser so that would require cutting two holes.  We've never had either of these before.  When the tech was in taking the measurements he asked me how far apart I wanted the soap dispenser from the faucet.  Instead of grabbing my faucet and getting a good idea of what it would look like installed I told him that 6 inches should be enough.  Everything was installed just fine but we probably should have had an 8 inch separation.</p> <p>The other thing we learned is that granite in Columbus moves fast.  A slab that you see one day will be gone two days later and then you might be starting over in the selection process.</p> <p>Granite Direct was great to work with.  Carolyn is very friendly with a positive attitude.  We would definitely use them again.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"We had a leaky shower, and determined it was due to loose tiling, which turned out to be a bigger problem than just a loose tile or two (no surprise). Replacing tile was no possible, because of the age of the current tile and its arrangement in the bathroom. Arlington Tile boss came to see it, arranged for one of his associated specialists to tackle it - he fixed the problem, preserved the tile, made it look better than when we moved into the house, all for much less than I feared it might cost. I recommend them highly - good people."

"<p>The price is good but the quality is average at best. The first counter-island had three major blemishes that anyone who cared, could have seen. We didn't notice because a hazy film was applied to the surface when installed and we could not clean off for a few hours. It looked like the granite had been broken and repaired, not in a good way. We complained and waited for a serviceman to see if he could repair it. Two weeks later someone showed up and could not repair the problem. Quarry agreed to replace the island but it would be another month until the matching slab could be shipped from Cleveland to Columbus? Not sure why a 2-3 hr trip takes a month but I said OK. </p> <p>Then I was concerned that it would not match so I HAD to drive to Columbus, 1.5 hours to make sure it did match. We were relieved to see that it did look the same. We tagged the slab and called Quarry to tell them it was OK. At that time, I asked for an additional 4 inches be added to the length of the Island. I spoke to Kim who said she would check with the owner and get back to me. After three days and no response, I called back and Kim said she talked to Mike(owner) who never gave a response but it should not be a problem.</p> <p>I was concerned with that response so I emailed Brad our salesman throughout this whole process and he said that it would not be a problem to add the 4 inches to the island.  The island arrived and installed on November 6th and they did not add the 4 inches that they agreed to add. I was very nice and calm with the process and I feel my easy nature was taken advantage of. I had a verbal and email confirmation and it just did not get done. It makes me wonder how much time is spent on any QA process at Quarry Granite.</p> <p>Quarry Granite could have been a huge hero by doing what they said they would have, have a little pride in the finished product, and care what the customer thinks. The overall job matches but I take credit in making sure the slab was the same, the install employees were nice to work with but not sure who cuts the granite really cares how it looks. Many little chips all along the edge, some were repaired, some too small but you can feel them.</p> <p>Quarry was the cheapest and I wish I had spent a little more and got better quality, overall I give them a C.</p> <br />"

"In January  2013,I started my journey of finding granite for my masterbath renovation. I was looking for granite to replace a double sink counter top. I looked up Angies List for a list of suppliers. I visited several. Because of the size I needed, which is called a remnant, there wasn't much out there. I did go to suppliers that sold slabs of granite but I was told I'd have to pay an extra price to cut from a slab. Much to my dismay. Then I went to Modlich. I found a piece of remnant on their back lot that was the type of granite I was looking for. The sales person Chris DiRienizo was a fabulous help. He told me they had a slab of that granite in the showroom. When I decided that was what I wanted he told me I could cut it from the slab at no extra charge. Chris wrote up an invoice and scheduled a home visit for measuring. I needed to make sure my tile  would go with the granite. I revisited the store with everything I needed to check colors. When all looked good , Linus Modlich took my order for the pice I wanted.  Vinnie Lockridge. came out to measure on 2/18. He was very helpful with my questions and even helped me decide to change the edging on the counter. I called the showroom a couple of times and was greeted with a very pleasant receptionst named Sharon. Delivery of the granite was 2/27/13. I'm very pleased with my experience with Modlich Stoneworks and would highly recommend them. <br />"
