"I woke up this morning and it was 87 degrees upstairs!  I called Louisiana HVAC, Inc. at 8:15 to see if anyone could come out today or tomorrow.  I was told Dax had a tight schedule, but would squeeze me in if possible.  By noon, I had a 1 pm appointment.  After arriving on time, the issue was quickly identified and resolved!  Besides being polite and prompt, Dax is honest.  The problem with the unit I called about was the filter!  We made the mistake of purchasing one of the ultimate... filters which works the AC too hard!  Instead of giving me some other 'problem' and overcharging me, he removed the filter, and serviced another unit I was planning to get around to later this summer.  I can't recommend this company highly enough.  If we have any other issues, I know who we'll call. "

"<p>Bought a 60 year old house with mostly original galvanized pipes plumbing, all severely corroded.  I called Bourgeois based on good ratings, and based on them being around as a family business a long time.  They returned calls promptly.  They were backlogged, so it took awhile to get someone out to give an estimate and then get on the work schedule.  </p> <p>Two plumbers worked for ~5 days replacing all the galvanized piping in the house with copper, which involved crawling under the house and breaking into walls behind shower/baths/sinks to replace lines there.  The guys were very professional, showed up on time every morning, broke for an hour lunch, and then left at 5pm everyday.  They cleaned up after themselves, and hauled away all the trash/old pipe.  I was impressed that they insulated all the exterior (crawl space) plumbing as they were installing it - without me even thinking to ask about it.  So happy that I didn't have to go behind them to insulate!</p> <p>Everyone from the office coordinator to the estimator to the plumbers, were great to work with.  Very pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail.  I've no reservations in recommending them, they deserve their top rating.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Great experience working with Jacob, listening to the issue, quickly diagnosing and confirming what work needed to be performed to resolve both the clogged drain and leaky piping underneath the sink and explaining the process all along. He promptly cleared the line using the hydro-jet and replaced the galvanized piping with PVC including the install of a new cleanout valve. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work area not leaving a mess which is appreciated. The price was reasonable considering the circumstances and he was very efficient. I will not hesitate to call them again if I have another plumbing issue and would recommend them for plumbing services."

"Blower motor was out on the condenser unit. Called AC ambulance and scheduled service for next day. Reception said someone would call and set time. They did--service person arrived on time (Vincent) he checked unit, didn't have part, knew where to get--he noted that unit should still be under warranty and motor should be covered--I am 2nd owner of unit---Part was available next day--Vincent called me to let me know of availability and set return time--He showed up on time again--he had to argue with parts guy about warranty coverage for the motor--(I didn't ask him to do this)- -he got it covered under warranty, else it would have cost me a small fortune (computer controlled part)--he installed part and checked unit---it was clear he knew what he was doing--It was also clear that he was very experienced in the service industry because he kept me, the customer, informed of what was going on with the job start to finish--AC ambulance also honored their Angie's list coupon--I would call this company again---good work!!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Garyville, LA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
