"It started with the kitchen... Robert was recommended to me by a neighbor and I knew from our first meeting I was in good hands. He listened to my ideas for the kitchen and gave thoughtful recommendations and suggestions. Robert started the project when promised, and finished much sooner than expected. Because he stays on budget, you can do so much more than you think. The kitchen turned into an entire renovation of my main level, adding another bathroom, and complete renovations of our 2 additional bathrooms. My home has undergone a complete transformation! If you are looking for a trustworthy, honest, dedicated, tidy, hard-working, friendly contractor who is conscious of your budget...stop searching. You found him. Be patient - I'm not the only one that knows how amazing he is, and you may have to wait a little while. He works lightening fast! So much so that that little wait for him to get to your project will be a distant memory as you enjoy your new kitchen, bathroom, deck, lighting, basement, fireplace, flooring, doors, windows, stairwell, or built in storage unit. I confidently recommend Robert to people all the time. Whether you have a small project, or a big one, whether you are sure of your design, or need a bit of help, whether you know exactly what you are doing, or have no idea, Robert will guide you so that your finished project will look incredible. Get ready to fall in love with your own house!"

"<p>We had a very specific timeline for our project due to some medical issues with our oldest child and the impending birth of our third child.  When the contractor we were working with was suddenly unable to meet our deadline, I panicked and turned to Angie's List for an alternative.</p> <p>That's where I connected with Brett.  I got lucky -- He happened to have a few days of availability the following week.  We chose the most time sensitive components of our overall project and he agreed that he could complete them during his available days.  This included installing crown molding and window framing/trim in two rooms, a chair rail in one room, completing some minor drywall repair, and fixing some damaged door hardware.</p> <p>Brett came over briefly to discuss measurements, scope and the price of my project.  He was back early the next morning with materials and began work right away.  He was punctual and friendly.  As other reviewers have said, he was a pleasure to have in the house, keeping me apprised of his progress and schedule and making friendly conversation while remaining very respectful to the fact that I work out of my home.  I made a few small additions to the project between Day 1 and Day 2 which he easily accommodated.  He also noticed a few things -- a damaged piece of baseboard trim in my hallway and a cracked threshold on my exterior door -- which he offered to address.  </p> <p>His price came in very close to the initial estimate he provided, even with my additions and his extra value-added repairs. </p> <p>Everything looked great to me but the true test was the comments from other service providers -- Our painter commented that the woodworking "looked great" and "was easy to caulk".  The folks who are installing our window shutters were impressed with how "tight" all the window trim was.</p> <p>My only regret is that I am not able to get Brett back sooner!  I'm presently compiling my list for the next time we are on his schedule.</p>"

"It went great. The bathroom is exactly what we wanted with a few extra touches. We are so happy with Brian that we hired him to do our next two projects. We have a few important reasons for hiring him again. Attention to us. Attention to detail. Like just about everyone, we had our share of contractors who disappeared. Brian was in contact with us just about everyday either by being here or by contacting us. With Brian, we felt pretty confident every step of the way that the project would be completed, even though we had time setbacks due to change orders that we requested. Brian went out of his way to get the materials that we wanted. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see the window that we asked Brian to install. We wanted a specific counter top and we went back and forth about the window trim and seal. Brain found a company to custom create our window sill and the box upon which the center cabinet is sitting. Brian has a couple of great guys working for him. They were respectful of our home, the project, and us. They answered our questions and explained things if we asked them a question. They cleaned up after themselves every day. Along with his creative and talented crew, Brian's supervisor (uh, mother) come check on him. We were assured she is a stickler for detail and getting things right. Her verdict? Mother's Seal of Approval. Now you know if mom approves, it has to be great."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Gilcrest, CO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
