NorthWoods Handyman has been an excellent partner for a number of repairs we're making to our farm house. Ron, the owner, came out to our house at our scheduled time to do an initial estimate of the repairs. He explained how he worked, who he'd bring out with him and what we could expect. My respect for him rose right away when he told us straight out that there was one type of repair he didn't do (carpet patching). I'd rather have someone tell me that up front than try to do it and make a mess of it!
Ron and his team did everything they said they were going to do and more. Along the way, they made good recommendations to make things even better (adding baseboards to the flooring, for example). They were patient when I changed my mind on the shower surround I wanted, and returned the old one to Home Depot without complaint. They even helped us move furniture around to make room for the flooring installation. Ron picked up all the materials we needed, credited back any extra items, and provided receipts for everything without my having to ask for them.
The repairs they have made look great. And the new flooring they installed in the basement is fantastic! Everyone who has seen it has commented about how great it looks. They've also been very respectful of our house and our time, letting us know when they are arriving or leaving, cleaning up after themselves, and just generally taking care of things. There was no mess left behind when they were done.
We will definitely be using NorthWoods Handyman again. In fact, we have already asked him to estimate four more projects for us, and are looking forwards to getting those completed.

UPDATE: We contracted NorthWoods Handyman again to complete some more minor projects, including one really icky one (pulling down old insulation out of a farm shed). They arrived on time and got everything done in two days! The work was excellent, and we're very pleased. I've upgraded their punctuality score to an A.

"My old water heater went out yesterday and of course leaked water all over. I shut it off and stopped the leaking. Called early this morning looking for someone to install a new one. Jim was actually sent over by another plumber who could not get to my job right away. Jim showed up, looked at the job, we talked about the options and he gave me a bid. Let to get the new water heater. We back in about thirty minutes. He had to make some changes to the water and gas lines. Added shut offs and installed new one. Took the time to explain operation and maintenance of the new one. Cleaned up the work site. Removed all debris and old water heater. I was impressed with his work and his attitude.

"They (John Barry had a helper) arrived promptly and, after brief explanation by me and examination of my recent "experiment" in texturing, they formulated a plan and set about work.   They arrived well equipped.   In a short time they had removed the texture I attempted and applied a new (and much better) one.   John seemed to very determined to minimize the expense to me and, at the same time do a very good quality job.   
I can not rate Omni Services (John Barry) too highly.......I am extremely please with the outcome (both their work effort and the result) and the cost to me.    They did a first class job for very reasonable price.   
I will definitely call Omni Services again in the future.

Went under the house found the pipe shook it and said here is the problem. Hr removed a section of the pipe and found the stoppage removed it , repaired pipe and sink workes like new. "Joe and Maria worked with us, and made their own suggestions for design and products.  We chose to go a bit higher end on the tile and the shower head than was included in the original deal.  We also had them install radiant floor heat, so we ended up paying quite a bit more than the deal, but we got what we wanted, and consider it well worth the price.
