"We couldn’t be happier with the service Ray provided. He was transparent, communicative, and professional throughout the entire process. The mold damage was extensive in the attic and upstairs bedroom, and after treatment it looks brand new. He also provided us with a list of modifications (e.g. inadequate attic ventilation) to prevent mold growth in the future. He also offered to come back for one more treatment after the remodeling- no extra charge. As first time homeowners, my husband and I couldn’t feel more relieved or supported."

"Prompt response and came over within hours of contact. Very knowledgeable, professional and provided good guidance on preventing future mold and mildew problems in basement areas. Very pleased with the service and will be having them back for additional mitigation when some precursor work is complete."

"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"The work was excellent, including the scraping, painting and carpentry work. The crew was thorough, pleasant to work with and very responsive to our questions and concerns. They came out several times to make sure all the old lead paint chips were removed. I️ highly recommend Northeast Remediation."

"The service man (rug cleaner) was very pleasant and arrived on time.  I advised him I would be leaving my condo while the rugs were being cleaned and that the Company who I have used off and on for more than 20 years should send me a bill.   <br /> When I arrived home the rugs had been cleaned however, there were not any plastic protectors under any of the furniture legs (which there normally are) and no instructions were left about drying time etc.   <br /> Later in the day I received a very nasty voice mail from a woman at the Company accusing me of leaving the house without paying.I did call back immediately and talked with someone else explaining that I certainly did not just leave w/o paying and have a perfect payment record with this Company.  She was very pleasant and said it was no problem for me to put a check in the mail. <br />"

"The test kit came promptly. We prepared it, sent it back, and received the report the next week. The report itself was quite limited, and not nearly as in depth as the annual report filed by our municipal water company. We expected more detail and were disappointed."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Gilmanton, NH

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
