"JES left my home in worse shape and will not return my calls to come repair the damage left. I reached out to them to install a joist support system under my kitchen so that I can renovate this year. There were floor joists under the back door that had been cut during a renovation about 30 years ago. JES installed a jack system but then left my foundation under the door where you can literally see daylight from the basement. I brought this up to the crew before they left late Friday night (they worked long hours just to ?finish? without even asking me if it was okay to trap me at home that late), and the lead just shrugged at me. Shortly after they left, it rained, and sure enough, water poured into my electrical room and all over the freshly poured concrete. I called Friday night, sent an email and text with videos, and called today 3 times. Each time the ?production manager? is ?busy.? Before this, they were perfectly capable of blowing up my phone to see if I could schedule sooner."

"I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"
