"This pro showed up on a Sunday and spent 2 hours going over the project went over every aspect of the job, materials and process. Not the cheapest by far, but gave a great presentation. The job was completed two days later. The crew was on time, very professional and did a great job. The project manager kept me in the loop as to progress or any issues. Clean up was great and it looks great!"

"I hired Koala Insulation of Greater Baltimore for attic insulation and fan installation. Initially, things went well. Jeffrey L. did a great job explaining insulation options and ventilation, and I chose the company for their fair pricing and strong reviews. Unfortunately, the project didn?t go as planned. A job quoted as one day stretched into four visits due to planning issues and the crew lacking a tall enough ladder. I also ended up with paint damage on my staircase from their hose, which required touch-up work. Jasper mentioned possible compensation for the delays, but I never received follow-up from him or the owner. The crews were polite and did good work overall, but the poor communication, unexpected delays, and lack of accountability were disappointing. I?m leaving 3 stars based on my experience. "

"5 stars!! Their pricing was the most competitive, and their communication was outstanding! Had our THOW insulated with closed cell spray foam and they did an awesome job from the very beginning of the process until the end. Would highly recommend!"

"We had an energy audit done by Kyle Farrell in mid-September, and due to an alleged broken phone, this audit was not fully completed until the end of October. We tried multiple times to reach out and get ahold of Kyle, but he does not respond to messages or answer his phone. When we finally got him to come finish the audit (we had to go through the main company's page to complain to get a response) he told me he trashed his phone playing golf, and that they were "really busy" with other jobs as an excuse. Mind you, this was over a month after the initial audit visit. He then promised us his "window guy" would reach out to start the process to give us a quote. It has been days and we have heard nothing. We were having the audit done to take advantage of tax credits, which expire this year. We lost a month to get the work done due to Kyle's poor time management skills & failure to respond, and we will likely miss out on the tax credit as the timeline is too short. Would not recommend. "

"Very pleased with the roofing and siding work performed by ROI Construction. Jose was especially helpful and very knowledgeable in all areas of home repair, including roofing, skylights, trim and siding. Brooke did a great job scheduling and managing the project. Highly recommend ROI for your roofing/remodeling needs."

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Glen Burnie, MD

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
