Other than that, Bob is very respectful person, knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Maria, who you talked to when you call, even on a Sunday, is the best example of a great customer service. She will call you before the scheduled service and after the service is done as a follow up to ensure that your issues are resolved to your satisfaction. "We have been using this company for every appliance repair we have needed for over 10 years. They have repaired our washer, dryer, refrigerator and air conditioning. The air conditioner is around 30 years old and has been repaired three times in the last 5 years. The issue is not faulty repairs; it's simply old, and while Around the Clock has warned us that it would need replacing, they have managed to keep it running and for a lot less than it would cost to replace the unit (which would cost around $5000 or so. Over the years we have had 3 or 4 main repair guys and each of them has expertise in multiple areas. They always have been on time, usually around the early or middle of the three-hour time window they generally provide. They are always courteous and professional, and have gotten the repairs right the first time, every time. They never try to up-sell and their prices are reasonable. We are delighted with them and would never consider going to another company unless we were forced to. In fact, we needed an electrical repair done, and they had recommended an electrician who worked for another company they sometimes subcontract with. He was great too. <br />"

"Service Master was excellent in some ways; but also disappointed in other ways. My GE Profile of 13 years stopped cooling recently. I e-mailed Service Master and they were quite responsive and scheduled an appointment promptly. My girlfriend handled the visit initially. The service master technician stated that the problem was an inverter that was not working due to a leak from a water hose. He replaced the inverter (a $120 part on amazon) and charged us $865 for the work. The next day, we noticed that the refrigerator was still not working and that the temperature kept rising. Over the next week, the Service master technician came almost every day - sometimes spending as much as 2 to 4 hours trying to diagnose and fix the problem. They texted every day multiple times to help us track the the issue. The various solutions they offered were to clean out the fan and the compressor; then replacing the freon a first time and then a second time. In the end, it appears as though there was a freon leak. It may have been that there was a freon leak and the inverter was broken, it's tough to know from our end as the consumer; and maybe for the repair man. Anyways, in the end they tried to fix the refrigerator and made multiple attempts over many days, were punctual and responsive; but this may have been avoided if they were able to diagnose the problem correctly initially; however in all fairness it may have bene impossible for the repairman to know that there was a freon leak. i just wish they hadn't charged so much to start off."

With the dryer repair, in one case he had to send a worker out to do the job. I remember being impressed that the worker cleaned the inside of the dryer really well and when the part was replaced he was still not satisfied that the dryer was working correctly and safely, so he came back on another day but did not charge beyond the original quote. I find the cost of service from Universal to be not cheap but worth it for the assurance of quality and reliability. <br>"
