"Tom and his son Tommy did a wonderful job. Removing our relatively new railing and then replacing it back after the deck was completed was a challenge that other contractors could not guarantee. The railings went back exactly as before, without any damage or lost pieces. They arrived on time and removed all of the old cedar two level decking. They made sure all of the sub-structure was in good condition, and replaced/reinforced where ever was necessary. They even demolished the existing steps, and built an entire new stairs. I had an existing problem with wood rot under my sliding glass door, but Tom adding flashing and insured that the new decking was slightly sloped away from the door to keep rain and moisture away from the wood base. Their overall workmanship was outstanding. They cleaned up the premises so well, that you wouldn't even know they were here. We had received estimates from several companies, but what we liked about Russett was that they only do decks, and they do it themselves......no subcontracting. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Deckmaster provided a free estimate for carpentry repair work on my wooden deck and fence, and also for a powerwash and reseal of the deck, deck stairs, and a fence. I contracted them to do the carpentry only (the powerwash/sealing was more than double the cost I normally pay). Scheduling was done within a week or so, and I was very pleased with the work Gustavo and his assistant did. The repair was done carefully and competently, and showed good attention to detail. I would definitely call Deckmaster again if I needed any repair work done."

"The job went great. They came out removed the old deck flooring, stairs and nails. During the project they kept the site clean of debris, nails and trash. They put down new deck flooring, provided deck trap door for water faucet access, new stairs, sanded off writing on lumber and added rail for the stairs (concrete posts for stability). They waited to stain the deck after wood had been exposed to elements and dried. The team let us know when they were coming to do work and what to expect. Their cost was reasonable and they were not like other companies that just wanted to sell and do things that were not necessary."

"This company actually listened to what I wanted. We had a 40 year-old upper and lower outside deck that structurally was sound. If I were to replace these decks as suggested by several companies, my guess is it would have cost $35,000. This company assessed my decks from a structural standpoint and determined that they could rehab the deck with long lasting materials and my deck would be something I would be proud of. I am and they did the work in a week and a half at about one third of the cost of building a new deck. I highly recommend them."

"This company was close to impressing me. Reasonable pricing, responsive, clear contract, etc. They showed up a day earlier than I was told, which was fine. They worked until 7pm, also fine. Here’s what happened: first, they planted bushes that weren’t centered so I had to tell them to replant. While weeding, they pulled out ferns that had just emerged, and they failed to spread mulch across the whole area. I expected better quality for the price I paid. Very disappointed about the ferns, and they never even gave me a discount or offered to replace them. They claim I told them to “pull everything”. If that were true, I suppose I’d have nothing left in the front yard. There is plenty of stuff they didn’t pull. They clearly don’t know the difference between a weed and a fern."
