"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"The cost of the second company was a separate charge.  The work Steammaster performed was done competently and satisfactorily.  While it was not inexpensive, we are glad we used Steammaster to do this work for us.  The work was performed in a timely basis and the work crew was extremely polite.  Because of the mouse issue and the concern regarding deer mice and the Hanta virus, it was necessary to have additional protection for the workers and they were able to provide that service.  I personally consulted with the appropriate Department of Health for the State of Colorado before the insulation was removed with the proper protections in place.  It was a major project and throughout all employees showed respect and a willingness to discuss any concerns I may have had at the time."

"The sales man did pressure us to buy on the first visit because the 20% off would expire that day! The sales guy had moved over from Champion Windows and was some what new to Anderson. He did call his manager to find out the procedure and cost to repair the mold damage. The estimated wait to do the work was 8 weeks. The install manager visited and measured about 4 weeks later and then two weeks later the install crew came out on Nov 11, 2017. The work was excellent and the weather cooperated this fall. Since we were home, the crew would invite us out to see different steps in the build such as the flashing and were careful with our floors, and furnature. The crew carefully cleaned up and explained the working of the windows. We had been told that the job did NOT include painting and my son and I were able to complete priming and painting in about a week of good weather!"

"The report was very professional and detailed. The response was fast. The price was expensive but due to the detail, understandable. I wouldn't hire again due to multiple requests for a completed report and estimate for the mold remediation and just getting robotic replies that didn't answer my questions."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Glenwood Springs, CO

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
