"Bob and his crew were great. I installed my own forms and had the area excavated and ready to go. He gave me a quick quote and he and his crew brought the concrete from the tuck on the street to my backyard where the pad was being poured for our hot tub. It was about 150 feet from the front to the back, They showed up on time they stated and met the truck and did the work. They floated and finished the concrete for a reasonable quote I felt. The pad was 9x16 by 4" thick. I would recommend them"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"Josh and his crew could not have been better to work with. The old driveway was removed in less than two hours, the new stone was installed, and before I knew it the new driveway was done. They answered all of my questions and made sure the new driveway was blocked off so it couldn't be driven on by accident. I'd hire them again without question!!"

"We winding up having Bonacio Construction remodel on our house on <br /> We live in Out of the area most of the time and decided to go with the highest bidder :) <br /> (and the company with the best reputation) because we were confident that not <br /> only would your people do the best job, but would be responsible and timely <br /> despite our being there very little both during the planning process and actual <br /> work time. This all turned out to be a good choice!! <br /> We have a beautiful "new" 25 year old house. <br /> We now have a brand new kitchen, All new bathroom and new flooring. The Bonacio team even custom built closet shelving to my liking. <br /> James has been a great project manager. He is a pleasure to work with and <br /> has been good about keeping us well informed of the process and is always easy <br /> to reach. He clearly knows what he's doing! <br /> Amanda has been amazing as well. They seem like a good team. She is a great <br /> communicator. Always responds quickly and with answers. And if she doesn't have <br /> the answer in her head (but it seems she usually does) she gets the answer. She <br /> was very helpful in the selection phase and kept us very well-informed with <br /> Progress Reports, including lots of photos. I've been very impressed with her <br /> organizational skills as well as the many details she seems to have at her <br /> fingertips. <br />   <br />   <br /> <br />"

"The job went great! The windows were installed very quickly so that even though it was winter we were not cold during the transition. The work area was very clean when he was finished for the day. The siding was a bit more difficult due to the snow but again his team managed to install the siding with minimal disruption to our daily lives. His communication was great and he was very prompt and easy to work with. It did not feel like we were living in construction."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Gloversville, NY

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
