"I hired Scott and the crew to clean up a really poorly-done tuck-pointing job. Scott's company washed the mortar stains off the brickwork, ground out the old mortar (someone used tile grout!) and then tuck-pointed all the bricks back to spec. Then they went around the bottom of the house and restored the decorative trim to like-new color and smoothness. Scott is extremely courteous, timely, and does what he says he will do. "We had erosion under our outbuilding. We thought we could take care of it ourselves. After more than a year of continued erosion, we gave up and called Traditional Masonry! They were out to our house the next day! The concrete footer went right in the first day. The second day required some relocation of some dirt piles we had near the work site. On the third day, we had a beautiful new retaining wall! Things I liked: 1) The speed with which the work was done. 2) The skill with which the work was done. 3) The cleanliness of the workers. The place is cleaner now than before they came. They left no trash for us to clean up. 4) They did not smoke while on our work site. 5) They didn't play loud music while working. 6) They did everything they said they would do exactly when they said they would do it. "Eric and his crew were great to work with and did a fantastic job. When we first met with Eric to discuss the project, we described what we wanted but didn't have a detailed plan. He was able to work with us along the way as the project took shape, making slight modifications where needed. Easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Also responsive - usually not more than a day or two went by without hearing something, and if so, he was quick to respond to a call, email, or text. The project experienced some delays (a week or two) but this was due to rainy weather and beyond their control. The work required installation of a lower retaining wall and filling the area behind it to bring to grade level with the driveway, installation of pavers for a walkway and patio, installation of a second wall using dry stacked stone, and installation of exterior porch steps with bluestone treads. They kept the work area organized, used the fill dirt left over from excavation creatively to build up some eroded areas, seeded and strawed impacted areas, and left everything in good shape. I recommend them highly."

"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."
