"Vasyl and VK Appliance were an absolute pleasure to work with. I don't think I've ever had a repairman as punctual and dependable as Vasyl. He called EXACTLY (like on the nose!) when he said he would, and showed up EXACTLY when he said he would, on the day of the first visit and the very next day for the repair (he didn't have the right control board with him). Our front loader simply died last Friday so I pulled up appliance repair on Angie's list, found VK Appliance, called him, and had an appt that day. Vasyl showed up within 2 hrs that day, was very professional, kind, and friendly, and diagnosed the valve failure and dead control board within 5 mins of removing the washer lid. He gave me a price for the parts and repair, but it was more than I could buy a new cheap washer for (primarily due to cost of a new control board...which I expected b/c we've had a control board fail on a different washer + I'm a graduate student with little $$) so we decided to just go buy a new (and much lesser quality) washer. He gave me the quote and said he would honor it for a week if I changed my mind, and that the $50 diagnostic fee could be put towards the repair. We started chatting (because he's a super nice guy!) about the repair & what my washer was worth, and mentioned he primarily worked on 2-3 year old machines (!). Ugh, so we talked through it and I decided to go ahead and do the repair because we've had it for +10 years and this is the first repair we've needed. The repair took probably 10 mins and our washer was working again! I highly recommend Vasyl and VK Appliance, and would definitely work with him again (I wish my landlord would). He's very knowledgeable, efficient, dependable, has reasonable rates, and is a very nice, trustworthy guy. I give him 5 stars (*****)!"
