"Things started very slowly for us, because of constant rain in the beginning and then one or two of the guys were out sick or injured (not work related). But, once things got under way, everything went really well. First of all, our house is three stories tall and the garage is not attached, also the homes in this neighborhood are quite close to each other, so there wasn't a lot of space on the sides of the house for working. The stucco work made it so that you couldn't even see where the patching and repairs were. And, the painting is just beautiful. We needed some gutters replaced and they even cleaned out gutters which were not part of the job or contract. While the work was being done, there was stuff all over the yard, but at the end of each day it was all cleaned up and piled nicely. Bruce and his guys were very courteous and friendly. Whenever we brought up anything that we felt needed doing, they always took care of it. They never gave us some reason why it couldn't be done. As the work went along we discovered that a ceiling had fallen down in a sleeping porch that we just used for storage. It turned out that water was coming in from poor roofing that had been done years before. After first trying to calk it and finding out that didn't work, we had Bruce repair that section of the roof. So that was a completely separate job and the room is now dry and being brought back into working order. We were so happy with the exterior painting that we have now gone ahead to have some interior rooms redone (the walls torn out and replaced and painted.) The one bedroom that has been done is so beautiful that everyone now wants that to be their room. We went beyond what we had planned to do, so we are having to come to an end here, but we will definitely be getting Bruce back to do further work in the future."

"D&J is great - they are very honest and go above and beyond on their jobs.  I had used them before for a repair on stone wall.  They always let you know what they are doing and why, and then walk you through everything once they are done to make sure you're happy with what's been done.  They looked at the brick and mortar job in my chimney and actually told me that it was in good condition and I DIDN'T need to spend more money on additional services from them.

"Chuck and his team arrived when they said that they would, and they cleaned the work area up at the end of every day. Because my neighbor's home sits close to the area on my chimney where they were working, they made sure that no damage was done to their property. Chuck gave me an update each day they were working on the chimney, telling me what they would be doing that day, and when they expected to finish the job. He also hand picked the replacement brick for my chimney, so that it would match the rest of the brick. It looks so good now that you would never know that so much work had been done on the chimney. Chuck also enhanced the top several courses of brick to add a more decorative look to the chimney from what I had before. I also asked him to add a cap on the top of the chimney for a more finished look. Chuck also spent some time with me looking at all of the brick on my home. He noticed another area on the front of my home that will need to be repaired. He'll be coming back in Spring to give a quote on that work. And based on the quality of the work that he performed for me in November, I'll definitely be using him again. He's resonable, very knowledgeable, and very conscientous about the work that he performs."
