"Wonderful! Husband and wife team, one takes the outside and the other covers the inside. Highly detailed and really get into the house, found lots of little items I missed, they are wonderful! <br /> <br />Highly detailed report given with great information for any repairs which would be needed. <br /> <br />If you're looking for a home inspector look no further; I'm very impressed with the quality of the inspection and the amount of time these guys spent going over the inspection report. <br />"

"I got home on a Saturday evening to discover a water stains on an upstairs bedroom, along with the sound of drips. Looking at the back of the house I saw a massive amount of ice overhanging the roof. Opening a hole in the ceiling showed the leak around a plumbing vent. I slowed the leak as much as possible, then contacted VanVleet and left a message around 8 at night. I got a call from Chris within the hour. He gave me an hourly rate along with a time estimate and said that a crew would be available at noon the next day (Sunday). <br /> Chris called the next morning around 10 am and said the crew was ahead of schedule and on their way. Jason and Jeremiah arrived a few minutes later, set up the equipment and got started. They used a steam-based removal process which left the roof clean with no physical damage, breaking the ice into large chunks.  An above-ground pool and air conditioning unit are near the house and I needed to sign a waiver freeing the crew from liability of damage due to falling ice. However, even with the damage waiver, the crew took great care in protecting pool and A/C unit with a combination of plywood panels and good judgement. Neither the pool nor A/C was damaged.  <br /> The entire job was completed by late afternoon and we were only charged for actual time worked. This process is not inexpensive and the hourly rate was a bit of a shock at first. However, this was not a "hammer-and-chisel" operation. it was much safer, more effective, and less damaging than any other method I know of. We were able to get the roof clean and the leak stopped within about 12 hours of my first phone call, minimizing water damage inside the house.  <br /> Prompt, professional, and attentive is hard to find, sometimes at any price. I am impressed and highly recommend VanVleet for ice removal. <br />"

"The whole project went beautifully.  I had previously contacted several roofing companies for quotes, but i didn't hear back on any of them with a final quote or date that they could do the service.  When I contacted David (owner), he followed up with a visit to assess what was needed, and when it changed (there was more damage to repair than initially identified from outside), he communicated it coompletely.  He was up front about the price.  It didn't change, and he probably did more than quoted.  <br /> <br /> The project seemed huge to me, but to David and his team it was easily accomplished.  David's whole team was professoinal - all the required tools and product were there at the start of the project, the team came when they said they would and stayed to work the entire day and returned immediately the next day to finish. David was on-site the whole time, available for questions, and overseeing the project.  Also, they cleaned everything up afterwards. <br /> <br /> I give David a five star rating on pricing, timeliness, quality of work and professionalism - Thank you! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"He does a lot of the work himself and has a medium sized crew. He has been in the business long enough that the subcontractors are also excellent as well as personable. He was punctual and because of good weather, he was early. He stuck to the budget except when I changed a few things and he had an estimate for the changes so the final bill was not a surprise. He and his crew were friendly. The clean up after the project was complete was excellent. The cement work and the carpentry were superb. The greenhouse also turned out well. I've worked construction my self for several years when I was much younger. I also had two other buildings constructed in the past and Mr Williams was by the most satisfactory. He also undertook continuing education courses to keep up on the newer techniques, materials and equipment."

"They gave us great service, we had two meetings regarding our needs and bids. We took 4 bids including from the big boys like Pella and Anderson. The bids were comparable but what we really liked was they did not subcontract out the installation, these were their employees that had been with them (15-22 years; so we knew the installation would be done correctly and with a life time warranty that was transferable we knew they would stand behind their work. <br>Justin was here a couple of times a day during the removal and installation and they worked well with another contractor that was doing a seperate project. The crew was on time and very professional. Clean up was great and took care not to hurt any of the plants or landscaping. <br>We will use them again and would highly recommend them to others"

"Went very well, I would certainly hire them again. Did A Great Job, Although a little higher priced than some of the other contractors in the area. They really pay attention to detail and use products that last. One thing is worth mentioning and that is a lot of other contractors might be less in price but price in the industry truly defines quality."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Grand-forks-afb, ND

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
